The choice of combining trekking and gastronomy is born from the intent of merging all the senses into one experience. This allows for a complete immersion into the place you visit. The journey will be engaging; you'll start on the land with its natural beauty and end with a hands-on cooking class at Isabella's farm, where ingredients are harvested and consumed daily.
A 2-hour journey from deep connoisseurs to panoramic points, that tells the story of the local people. You'll follow the original paths of the mules, shepherds, and woodcutters. Surrounded by breathtaking views of Amalfi, Ravello, and Capri, you'll learn about the eagerness of the hardworking local, that until this day keep their traditions alive on this magnificent piece of land.
At the end of the trek, you'll visit the first farm that opened in Agerola. A farm fun by the same family for more than one hundred years. Isabella is part of that family and has acquired a wide set of skills and knowledge about the local culinary traditions and techniques. In order to keep the traditions alive, their want to share their knowledge with anybody that is interested.
All the ingredients for the cooking class will be handpicked from the farm. They are and have been locally produced for generations. Isabella will teach you about the Mediterranean diet; how to recognize quality vegetables, how to eat with the seasons, and how to transform the ingredients into various superb dishes.
At the end of the class, you'll feast on what you've made while enjoying the enchanting view of Isabella's farm and a glass of locally produced wine.
