Rita's Gourmet Cooking Classes are set up in Vasco da Gama, around the Mormogau area, in a garden gazebo amidst spice and herb plants and surrounded by coconut trees. Rita Shinde, the versatile home grown Chef has mastery over her subject and is an excellent communicator. She makes the guests comfortable with step by step introduction to different spices, vegetables, ingredients that go in making various masalas and curry pastes which are used to prepare the aromatic and flavorful dishes.
The market tour showcases the local farmer's produce as Rita takes you through the the vibrant and vivacious display of fresh and colorful vegetables, fresh herbs and seafood market explaining and picking up the ingredients. Both, vegetarian and non-vegetarian as well as gluten free need not worry as all dishes can be learnt and cooked.
Finally, Rita shares her recipes and the pictures of the class with the travelers over email. An Apron is part of the takeaway. So come over and let us Celebrate the Joy of Cooking.
