During this 3-4 hour foodie tour, you’ll wander through the backstreets of Xi'an on foot, sample dishes at the best local food shops and learn about traditional Chinese culture with an English-speaking local food expert. A special TukTuk ride will be part of this experience as well.

You’ll watch your food being made and learn about what makes it so special to Xi’an locals. Whether it’s sitting by an old man grilling meat over burning coals or watching dumplings being made right in front of you. Whether you are shredding your own pita bread for “Pita Bread Soaked in Lamb Soup” (Yang Rou Pao) or listening to the sound of fresh Biang Biang noodles being made, there's something to love for everyone.

These five to six eateries are scattered around the district, some on main streets and others tucked away in back streets, but they all cook for the locals. When you visit these food stops, you will learn a lot about the local’s lives and the family restaurants that have been making their specialities for generations.
