課程介紹

During this 4-5 hours unique cooking workshop, you’ll be taken into an authentic local spice market to explore it with fun challenges to complete and learn different species of Sichuan spices and ingredients that will be used in the following cooking class.

The class will be carried out in a traditional Sichuan style courtyard. You’ll be treated with Sichuan local tea as it’s local’s custom to treat friends and visitors. After that, you then will be guided to start the cooking process by a professional chef in a cozy kitchen.

Finally, you can enjoy the dishes made by yourself along with some beers or beverages. For it’s really informative, interesting and fun, this class will be an unforgettable experience in your lifetime.

*Family welcome, children under 5 is free for the class.

Morning Class:

8:30 am: Meet your guide at a Metro Station
9:00 am: Local Spice Market Visit: Your guide will take you to explore an authentic local market, you’ll learn and obtain some necessary ingredients or spices that will be used in the cooking class afterwards.
10:00 am: Ramble through back streets to the cooking class place, a hidden gem-a traditional Sichuan style courtyard.
10:10 am: Tea Break: Have a break with Sichuan Gaiwan tea.
10:30 am: The Cooking Process: The cooking process will be guided by a professional chef.
11:30 am: The Dinner Time: Enjoy the dishes that cooked by yourself with some beers or beverages.

Afternoon Class:

"Amazing Experience"

We loved everything from the visit to the local market and the cooking class. Jerry was very welcoming and explained everything from ingredients to lifestyle of Chengdu people. The visit to the local market was the highlight of my trip in Chengdu. One super friendly aunt was there to help us during the cooking class. We probably made the best mapo tofu we ever cooked. We also learnt how to make twice-cooked pork which was a mind-blowing discovery. Thank you again !!!

"Nice local experience"

The spice market and trying different things here was great, among which the making of dumplings and tasting local strong spirits. Our guide Lance was fluent in English and very helpful, both in translating and taking pictures. Due to his familiarity with the city, it provides a good insight into the local life and helped us experience the culture better. We definitely recommend this class if you are interested in trying and making local food!
