Tutor Ae and staff were all skilled, friendly and helpful. The instruction was easy to follow and we were all able to produce some delicious dishes which we can replicate when we return home. The cookbook provided will be very useful. Good value half-day experience and well worth doing.
I definitely found a family away from home. Travelling alone can be lonely, and thank God I took this class. Through this cooking school, it made my whole stay in Thailand meaningful and rich. I was able to immerse myself and be a Thai for a day. Everything was organic. I would highly recommend this class and i will be back for more! Throughout the day, i saw the depth of culture through their dish and techniques. I went home with a gift set and with a new perspective in culture.
We loved visiting the market to select the food we'd use in the class (would have enjoyed even a few more minutes there to browse beyond our shopping list). The space for the class was informal, open air and perfect for our group. The instructions were clear and the class did a great job demystifying how these scrumptious Thai dishes are made from scratch. The team made it very easy for us to focus on combining ingredients and cooking (wish they could follow me home to help prep in my kitchen!) and we enjoyed every tasty morsel. The class kind of assumes each participant is not at all a cook so there were times they even helped us stir or measure ingredients, which took some of the pleasure of the experience away from me. Overall, though, it's a great class, I highly recommend and I would do another class from this team to learn other dishes or techniques.
