This cooking class was so worth it! I enjoyed how Chef Tejada sticks to the traditional ways of preparing Mexican food. He is also very very informative and loves to share his knowledge. We had tequila tasting after cooking and paired them with fun condiments like chocolate, fruits and grasshoppers! Yes dried grasshoppers but they are completely safe. The food at the end of the cooking class was so delicious!! I would definitely attend this class again. I think this experience is a must in Cancun!
Inscribed in 2010 as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, Traditional Mexican Cuisine is a comprehensive cultural model comprising farming, ritual practices, age-old skills, culinary techniques and ancestral community customs and manners. Then the spanish conquest brought new elements and influenced Mexican Gastronomy to evolve in a complex and beautiful mixure of flavours.
