Rose Kitchen Hanoi

Mango was so much fun; she made the whole experience very interesting and a very memorable one where we learnt a lot and shared our cultures.

Apple, our cooker instructor was amazing: full of energy, enthusiastic about sharing some tips and explaining to us how to do what. We also laughed a lot with her, as we’re not really used to cutting things so thin. We cooked Bun Cha, spring rolls, banana flower salad, and egg coffee. All of them were the best I’ve had in Ha Noi, By far!

We had a great time during our cooking class. We got picked up from our hotel, went to the market to get the ingedrients and our instructor explained a lot around it. During the class you make the dishes altogether as a group and you do most of it yourself, instead of watching how the chef does it. The people from Rose Kitchen were very friendly and helpful, and the food was great.

Excellent culinary experience with a fantastic cook! I just loved it, from the first second until the end. Very nice introduction to the local market in Hanoi, then cooking Vietanmese dishes and running BBQ. I definitely recommend it!

We were the first ones to be able to enjoy this cooking class after the lockdown and got the whole experience just for ourselves - basically a private cooking class for just two people. And the whole day was beautiful. Right from the start at the local market visit our cooking instructor Mike was incredibly friendly, open-minded and exited to share many things about the Vietnamese way of life. He is very patient and obviously a great cook! The drinks are free, the atmosphere in the villa is friendly and comfortable and the food was absolutely amazing (even though we struggled a little bit with the spices of the chili!). Immediately afterwards, the instructor sent us the recipes and even other recipes so we can make the food again and try out new dishes at home. Best vegan food we had in Hanoi so far! 11/10 would recommend! :)

Wir hatten das Glück den Kochkurs zu zweit zu haben. Es wurden gemeinsam 5 Gänge zubereitet. Die Getränke während der gesamten Zeit waren kostenfrei. Zur Begrüßung gab es einen leckeren selbstgemachten Willkommenstee. Eine Küchenhilfe unterstützt bei der Vor-, Zu- und Nachbereitung der Gerichte. Die Rezepte werden anschließend online zur Verfügung gestellt. Eine super Erfahrung, wir würden den Kochkurs jedem herzlich empfehlen!

First we bought all the ingredients fresh from the market, where we could also try some stuff and learned a lot about local food. Our Chef Apple was really nice, she guided us through all the dishes. At the end we were all happy, full and well educated about Vietnamese Food.

Great experience! There was brilliant attention to detail- they picked us up from our hotel, the market tour was full of information on the food/culture of the area! We cooked 4 dishes and they supplied a fridge of free beers/sodas and a bottle of rice wine with our food! It was a really fun day! Our chef Vin was a lot of fun and spoke English well- all in all a great value for money experience!

It was the best Cooking classes which I have ever taken part. The chef picked me up from my hotel. Later we gone shopping on local, real market. The menu was discussed with the all classes’ member so we could changed dishes (pork was exchanged in shrimps). During the classes members can help yourself with beverages ( soft drinks and beer). The classes finish with the meal for the all members. I recommend the Rose Kitchen for everyone!!!

I had Long (nickname dragon) as the instructor and he was so knowledgeable and funny! The whole class was a blast and I also enjoyed the market tour!

The whole experience was, simply put, amazing! Everything from start to finish was great. We got picked up from our hotel and driven to the market. The market was a unique experience (I got some live, jumping shrimps in a bag!). Took a short walk to the beautiful villa where we had the cooking class. We made some tasty dishes (and drink!) and enjoyed ourselves the whole day. Keep doing what you do! This was the best cooking class we ever had!

We had the perfect morning activity while buying food at the market and then cooking it all together in a beautiful hidden villa! The choice of dishes could not have been better ; we actually learned how to cook all our fav : Nem, Bun cha, Egg coffee and banane flower salad. Yummy!

Love this course so much, it was easily the best thing we (couple in our 20s) did on our long weekend in Hanoi. Loan was so helpful and friendly - she took us to a Buddhist pagoda first so that we could appreciate the historical and religious significance of a vegan diet in Vietnam. Then we drove to the school: a beautiful old house tucked away from the mayhem. We whipped up five dishes - each blew us away with flavour and freshness. The instruction was unrushed and encouraging, and each participant was able to contribute equally. We particularly loved the tofu with tomato and the fried spring rolls. At the end, you sit down to eat all the dishes and try a little Vietnamese rice wine. 10/10. Just a fantastic morning spent in the best way we could have hoped for. This is THE vegan Vietnamese cookery course to do in Hanoi.

The instructor was very engaging and taught us the basics of Vietnamese cooking.

The people were great. Everyone spoke good English, was kind and knowledgeable. Food was delicious 🤤 It rained a little and they had prepared rain coats for us. The market was local and not touristy. Definitely would do it again.

I really enjoyed the class it was a great experience and Long couldn’t have been kinder or any more helpful! Food Was delicious and the group worked well together, very affordable and well worth the price!

We had good fun at rose kitchen's cooking class. Oni was our guide chef and she was both fun and informative. Teaching us about culture, language and flavors. We cooked 4 dishes: banana flower salad, spring rolls, pork BBQ meatballs and bacon. All of the above had very good vegetarian alternatives. For desert we.made egg coffee and hot chocolate.

The venue is brilliant and the food was fantastic. Would 100% recommend

This is one of the best cooking classes I've ever taken. Duh our chef was in gauging, informative & humorous. I learned alot I didn't know & stuffed myself because the food was so good. If I wad here longer, I'd do it again. The house where we cooked was gorgeous. A nice touch was cold beer in the fridge. We only had 4 people in our class which was perfect. Kudos to Duh & Rose's Kitchen! I'm still waiting for my recipes though....don't forget to send them!!

We started at the market to buy ingredients, and we learnt a lot about Vitamins cooking and daily life. Then went to our class. Our guide was so nice, had so much information and was so patient with us.

This was a great experience. We have been in local market and after this we started cooking. The chef was very nice and professional. This was totally a terrific experience!

I really enjoyed the vegan cooking class. It had a good variety of options and the food was delicious! Would definitely book a cooking class through Cookly again.

The instructor (Oni) was very engaging and flexible, agreeing to add an extra dish one of us wanted to learn. The experience was very hands-on. There's nothing more boring than watching someone cook. The only reason I give it four stars is that I think they downgraded the spice/flavors of the dishes for a western palate. I definitely recommend this class and would urge you to let them know you want it done the Vietnamese way!

Nice mix of learning about flavor profiles, techniques, and recipes. Would have liked if the class had more actual hands on work but that can be hard to manage with a clsss of 8 people.

It was really nice. Our cook explained everything and we could get more than we want to have. Our dessert with chocolate and egg-milk was really good!

This was definitely a unique first time experience for us! Rose kitchen was well organised and very responsive! We shared this experience along with Oni who was very patient, detailed and experienced! It is amazing and great that the kitchen has its own private transport which makes it even convenient offering door to door transport for this experience. The food that was prepared was exceptional and tasted really good! Oni managed to work our for us a menu with more options than initially offered. Overall, we loved this cooking experience and look forward to many more around the world!

This cooking class was a very enjoyable uniquely Hanoi experience. Getting into the alleys and markets of this city is interesting enough but also to see inside a lovely house and to then learn just enough about common Vietnamese dishes makes the trip to Hanoi memorable. I will make or adapt all of the recipes and remember Vietnam each time. Thank you to the kind and gentle staff of Rose kitchen.

This is an experience that my family will treasure! Vietnam has an authentic culture and is very rich in terms of people and its resources. As a family we were able to enjoy the scenery and most of this cooking class together. This class provided us with great knowledge in terms of herbs and spices selection that we were able to take home with us. They arranged a visit to the local market wherein we saw how Viet market worked. Then we went to the Chef's kitchen. It was a mix of modern and traditional kitchen. We learned local Vietnamese cuisine like Banana flower, Pho, rice noodles and etc. I was very happy of how may dish tasted after. I was very satisfied. It tasted more delicious than other restaurants. Kudos to the chef who was very knowledgeable and experienced.

The cooking class was just as I expected. As a group, we first decided what we wished to make (giving us great flexibility). We toured the market to find the necessary ingredients and learned quite a bit about the culture at the same time. The kitchen is GREAT and they have everything you need. The end result is oh-so-good :) Totally recommend doing it!

We are very delighted to have had the opportunity to participate in this interesting cooking class. It was given by a very nice lady, in a lovely house. We also enjoyed the tour to the market. I would definitely recommend this class.

First we went to the local market to get the ingredients. It was really pleasant walk and the guide showed us a lot of stuff (not only things we needed). Then we went to the kitchen. They really tried to make the atmosphere nice for everyone. The chef explained all the steps of preparing the meal and made clear WHY do we need do all of this steps. I liked it a lot.

They arranged a private vegan cooking class for us and it was awesome! Food was delicious, did everything ourselves (except for the cleaning and setting the table) and the chef was very friendly.

Our cooking instructor Duoc was amaxing. She helped us choose meals that fit our dietary requirements. She was really fun and engaging, and gave great guidance during the class. The kitchen and other stuff were great, but id recommend the class to friends because the instructor made it so much fun!

Pros: Really nice staff, chef went to the market with us, explained different ingredients and came up with menu along with us. She even bought my daughter a rain poncho b/c she had lost hers and it was raining when we went to the market! Cons: Chef was 10 minutes late to meeting point and had some communication issues when putting together menu, but we overcame them. I subtracted a star for communication, but added an extra for service so 5 stars!! We would definitely book again!

We started with a market shopping trip, where we were able to ask questions of our host about the ingredients we saw. Then for the class we prepped all the food before eating. Again our instructor was very helpful and clear and answered our questions. My only regret is that Rose Kitchen doesn’t offer any advanced classes with less commonly offered dishes! I’d like to take more classes!

This was a wonderful experience, from the eye-popping trip to the local market, to the beautiful location of the class, to the helpful ness of the teachers and staff, to the free taxi ride home. The menu was full and the food was delicious - - better than what we had eaten in restaurants! The staff said they would email us the recipes along with additional ones for us to try, and I can't wait to receive them!

It was my first cooking class in my life and I would have been regretted if I didn’t take the class. It was really great experience as the program was practical (preparing ingredients from a local market and cooking the significant Vietnamese dishes that I can even try at home) and all the staff at Rose kitchen Hanoi were really great too. Especially thanks to my dear instructor and lovely assistant! I will definitely try it again if I visit Hanoi again :)

This cooking class with Rose Hanoi kitchen was truly fantastic. Our host/ chef who brought us around the markets and instructed us cooking was so lovely and helpful. The dishes we made were all delicious, and all of the other ladies working there were wonderful as well and very welcoming. Also taxi included to and from the location was a huge plus. If you're looking for a cooking class in Hanoi this is the one! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We thoroughly enjoyed this experience with our friends and kids. We had a large group of 10 and while we were split up, we were still able to see and speak with them across the rooms. We were welcomed with cold refreshing drinks after the market. The instructors were very nice and patient. There was plenty of food left over. They were very accommodating to the minor changes we had. Great family business. Definitely recommend this place.

This class was one of the highlights of our stay in Hanoi. It offered a glimpse into market and cooking culture. Our instructor was thoughtful and explained each step of the ingredient purchasing and cooking process. It was a special treat to cook in an actual home as well. The instructors also bought us a beautiful bouquet of flowers as we were celebrating our honeymoon. Cannot recommend this experience enough!

Tea was a brilliant chef and instructor who answered my endless questions in the market and adjusted the menu to teach us a dish I really wanted to learn and it was PERFECT! I can’t recommend this course highly enough!

We decided to do this particular cooking class because they had a great menu and amazing reviews on Tripadvisor (Rose kitchen). The hostess Linh is super nice and made us feel very welcome and our teacher Ms. T (also super nice) explained everything quite well and we feel that we received a good insight into the Vietnamese cuisine. Furthermore, she was also willing to adapt the menu for us and we were able to cook exactly what we wanted and we are so grateful for this. The food was also super delicious and there was loads of it as well! We would recommend this class to everyone.

I highly recommend this cooking class because of it's wonderful staff. Tea picked me up on time and could answer every question. The food recipes were perfect and can be easily cooked at home. Nevertheless, the food itself was delicious. Would book the course again.
