What a wonderful 3 hours learning to make the dough then 3 shapes and finishing with tasting our work. It was fun to be in their home and she was a wealth of information about pasta as well as Bologna. It's the best cooking class we've been on.
We had a great time with Irena, an amazing host! We share many recipes together. She welcomed us in her home with her husband Marco who served us his fresh homemade bread. Irena is a great teacher, she detailed all the steps with her great English. If you only follow her hands, you won't get it. You need to listen to her advices and she will guide you in all the steps. All the details count: the temperature of the ingredients, the quantities, the techniques, the products, etc. You will be amazed by her experience and her techniques. We enjoyed our time with Irena and her family. Her teaching will remain with us as a precious memory of Italy! The cooking class was the best local experience, right in her home with her family, learning how to make 3 kinds of pasta from Bologna. Easy instruction to follow as well as a lot of information about pasta in Italy. At the end we got to eat what we made with wine and dessert included. Highly recommend!

The cooking class was delivered with passion and a world of traditional knowledge. The friendliness and support, and the delicious lunch produced with the pasta we made was just perfect! Our host showed us that simple cooking and preparation can achieve perfect results. I would recommend this cooking lesson to anyone that wishes to learn a little bit about true Bolognaise culture and flavours. Definitely beyond my expectations!

The class was well organised, fun and good value. Our teacher Irena was knowledgeable, pleasant and encouraging. Perhaps your ad should state that your lessons and the foods you will make, then eat are dictated by what is seasonal at the time you attend.
How could we put this into words? Irene was such a welcoming and generous host and we felt so comfortable in her kitchen. The food was the best that we’ve tasted on our holiday, and we’re sure this is down to such a fantastic teacher. We learnt so much about the history of Bologna and its cuisine, more than any museum or guide book! If you’re looking for a truly authentic and unique experience, look no further!
We had a fantastic evening learning how to make pasta in Irene’s home. There were 5 of us - myself and my husband from Scotland, a woman from Australia and a mother and daughter from the US. Irene was very entertaining and educational. We made 3 types of pasta that she then cooked and we enjoyed with wine. Dessert was offered but we were too full! Highly recommend to anyone coming to Bologna. We were staying at the Best Western Tower Hotel which is only 20 minutes walk away. If you’re staying in the city centre, she can call you a taxi when you’re leaving.
We were five friends and had a great experience making pasta with Irene. She was very organized, gave clear instructions and was very fun to learn from. She explained the process as well as the history of the three pasta dishes very well. She was also very helpful when our pasta making didn’t quite go as planned! After making three types of pasta, we then had a lovely dining experience and eating our creations. We can’t wait to try and make it at home. We’d 100% recommended this experience, thank you Irene!
Lovely winery in beautiful grounds(1441 old castle) was a last minute decision as there is many options in the region but with more complex tastings, but this one was just right, winery itself is no older than 25 years but age doesn’t define this wine, our oenophile guide was a gentleman with perfect English, we were lucky as we were 3 and tour was quite exclusive ☺️, highly recommended!
The tour was interesting and the staff explained the process of making Parmesan cheese. They only make the cheese in the morning with warm milk. We took vans to the farm. Leave extra time to park and find the pick up location. It was a short lovely drive in the countryside. We passed fields of sunflowers. After the tour we had as much cheese to taste as we wanted along with a glass of wine.
We did a cheese making tour in Parma today. Alice our tour guide was very friendly & informative, we enjoyed the experience & cheese tasting. Thanks to Riccardo we managed to get a late booking, very much appreciated, as we leave Parma tomorrow, with great memories.
Truly one of the best experiences we had in Como! Amazing for a group of 4 or 2. Delicious pasta and extremely authentic experience! 10/10 would do again.
This is the first cooking class I’ve ever done on a European vacation - and it was fantastic!! Amy was a great instructor - she helped make all steps in the process very easy to follow. We made gnocchi, ravioli and panna cotta - it was all delicious. Such great fun!!’I would highly recommend taking this class.
We were personally picked up at home half an hour before the start by our very friendly tour guide. In a small group, she explained all the processes and gave us a lot of additional information and answered all questions very competently. The parmesan tasting was very generous and extremely tasty. I can only recommend the tour!
