Amazing friendly and knowledgeable hosts and chief. Enjoyed every moment learning about Balinese cooking and culture, and preparing an incredibly tasty soup, chicken sate and two flavour banana dumplings. Brilliant experience!!

Alam Candi is a beautiful boutique hotel set amongst magnificent gardens and fish ponds which gives a relaxed peaceful vibe for you to enjoy. I personally love the restaurant and pool that is set right on the ocean front. The freshly made cocktails in the afternoon while watching the sunset is the best way to end the day. I would highly recommend this hotel for its service and atmosphere and would definitely stay here each time I visit Candi Dasa.

Alam Cooking Class offers participants a two-hour cooking class to reveal the secret to the delicious flavors of authentic Balinese food. The authentic flavor of Balinese food is rich with indigenous spices and herbs. All the ingredients are locally harvested to maintain freshness and authentic flavors in their presentation.
The cooking session presents a three-course meal of authentic Balinese cuisine: appetizer, main course, and dessert. Every participant gets involved in everything from preparation and cooking to savoring the food of their cooking. Chef Lanang has been well-experienced in his specialty local food for decades and is passionate about sharing his expertise with foodies seeking authentic local foods.
