We offer a cooking class that unveils the secrets behind the delectable flavors of authentic Balinese cuisine. The genuine flavor of Balinese food is rich with indigenous spices and herbs. All the ingredients are locally harvested to maintain freshness and authentic flavors.

The cooking session presents a three-course meal of authentic Balinese cuisine: appetizer, main course, and dessert. Every participant gets involved in everything from preparation and cooking to savoring the food of their own cooking. Chef Lanang has been well-experienced in his specialty local food for decades and is passionate about sharing his expertise with foodies seeking authentic local foods.

Urab

A mixture of a long green bean, grated coconut, and traditional Balinese spices with a tempting aroma.

Sate Lilit

Minced fish or chicken or jackfruit, wrapped into sliced thin bamboo, seasoned with traditional Balinese spice with delicious flavors (fish, chicken or vegetarian)

Dadar Unti

A traditional Balinese dessert, made of rice flour in a thin layer, colored in green with pandan leaves, and filled with grated coconut and palm sugar.

"Awesome!"

Amazing friendly and knowledgeable hosts and chief. Enjoyed every moment learning about Balinese cooking and culture, and preparing an incredibly tasty soup, chicken sate and two flavour banana dumplings. Brilliant experience!!

"Romantic atmosphere."

Alam Candi is a beautiful boutique hotel set amongst magnificent gardens and fish ponds which gives a relaxed peaceful vibe for you to enjoy. I personally love the restaurant and pool that is set right on the ocean front. The freshly made cocktails in the afternoon while watching the sunset is the best way to end the day. I would highly recommend this hotel for its service and atmosphere and would definitely stay here each time I visit Candi Dasa.
