Good fun, nice restaurant, chef explained everything, we enjoyed eating what we helped prepare!
What a wonderful evening this was! Our instructor was lovely and such good fun, we learned a lot. She also made us a bonus dish of fried taro root, which was delicious! The food we made, we sat and shared as a group afterwards and it was wonderful, especially with the bonus dishes of white rose and wonton that the kitchen threw in. All in all a lovely experience I'd highly recommend if you want a little introduction to Vietnamese cookery!
The teacher was great. He explain everything. The food was good. But when we start with dinner it was no relaxing atmosphere. The different dishes came fast and when we are not really finish the staff came for clean up the table. Please let everybody sit and eat and enjoy the evening.
The chef spoke perfectly English, he was super friendly, and all the food was delicious.
This was a great class with a great instructor. She showed us how to make several dishes, all of which were delicious. She answered questions, and I feel like I can make these dishes in my kitchen at home now. The meal at the end was relaxed and lovely, we got to eat the food we made, as well as a few other dishes, in a beautiful restaurant setting. A great evening, and the food turned out amazing!
We had a fantastic time with Luna our chef and guide. Starting off at the herb farms just outside the town. We then explored the markets and bought the produce to cook 4 Vietnamese dishes. We went by traditional boat to the cookery school located in beautiful grounds. We helped Luna pepare the dishes. There was so much food for lunch absolutely delicious. We then went back to the town by taxi. I thoroughly recommend this experience
This was a very good class with a good overall demonstration. In addition 2 extra dishes were served and they were tasty. My only complain is that dinner was not served with rice, which was odd when eating Asian food.
The chef teaching us was really clear and funny. A good variety of food for vegetarians as well as meat eaters and they easily catered to my partners nut allergy. For me the perfect length of time but if you enjoy & are good at cooking I think you should look at the longer classes.
We had a great morning learning about the traditional Vietnamese food ingredients and where to buy them in the market. We prepared the food step by step with as much help as we needed. The food was delicious and I do very little cooking normally. The location and quality of the environment were excellent. The staff were helpful and entertaining! Well worth doing.
Best Cooking-Class ever!
Its a good and funny experience, but its not too special, most of the cooking classes are almost the same activities and prices.
Chef was great, good English, good explanations, good banter, just thought the class was a little basic, would have liked more participation in the preparation of the dishes and the cooking. The meal at the end was lovely. Having a small group was good.
Our guide and Chef Sang was most entertaining. The food was simple to prepare and very tasty!
The beginning at Hai Cafe was a bit strange. - Like mass tourism start of many groups. Then Mrs Ling took us to the organic herb garden. Although the weather was awful raining cats and digs- it was a nice experience. Market was really great then. And the cooking class with Chin and her crew was awsome. Friendly and competent.
The chef instructor was great! Very passionate and knowledgeable about Vietnamese food AND the food was fresh and delicious!! 🤩🤩🤩
What a very comprehensive experience, getting taken through the markets was really informative although felt a bit rushed. The ride on the river to the class was really enjoyable but the class itself was incredible - the chef was a true entertainer and very good at inspiring his students. The class was run very efficiently but you certainly didn't have time to think too long or muck around. The food was simple but yummy, and then after we'd already eaten heaps we sat down to a full on lunch. Nice to meet other 'cooks' over lunch. Highly recommended although I would book directly with Red Bridge as Cookly were more expensive as they are a 3rd party. Can't wait to try out all the recipes.
This was an excellent tour and an amazing experience from start to finish. The fantastic tour guide, the tour through the local fresh food market and beautiful herb garden and then on to our our cooking experience. The chef was not only a great instructor but also very entertaining. Then putting to practice what we were shown and finally finishing with a wonderful lunch. Highly recommend this experience
Both our guides (the one that took us to the market and organic village and the chef) were absolutely amazing! We had a great time and ate fantastic food.
We had lots of fun, learnt heaps and the chefs were great! Would highly recommend.
Had a great experience at the Red Bridge cooking school! Got to make different Vietnamese dishes and learn about all the flavours used. The class was very well organised in a lovely setting and would definitely recommend to others wanting try their hand and making traditional dishes.
Great class, accomodated my vegan request. So much food!
We enjoyed the experience, market trip, boat trip and food prep and eating!!
Loved it all .Value for money
The cooking class was so much fun, the teacher was so funny and engaging (also really good with a knife). We learnt a lot and had great food, would recommend!
Very good
Great experience
Great way to see the market, cruise the river and learn how to make a number of Vietnamese dishes. You’ll eat a lot of food too so have a light breakfast!
Great , learnt, had fun and ate tasty food.
the woman who cook was very profesional, very sympatic we have enjoyed this cooking class
Initially our booking was mucked up. We were booked into the 8.15 class but were told when we got there it was the 11am, after I had confirmed this time twice on email before leaving Aust. You kindly fitted us in at 9am class. Our friends who came with us had been last year and recommended we do it with them again. They said it had changed. Not going to the big herb garden and not getting a Red Bridge Apron. Cheers Robyn.
Loved it fun relaxed informative the guide was lovely .. worth the money especially if you are a foodie like us .. thanks so much and went to hai restaurant last night the duck was incredible
Set in 2 acres of stunning tropical gardens, with 3 open air ‘pavilion style’ buildings, the stylish Red Bridge is Hoi An’s leading cooking school.
Red Bridge Cooking School operates 1 classic half-day tour every day of the year. We will have guided tour in Hoi An’s colourful central market, boat trip on the Hoi An River, herb garden walk, 2 hours hands-on cooking class, and finish with lunch.
