Start our guided tour of Saigon’s most iconic market, Cho Ben Thanh, which provides insight into our daily procurement of meats and vegetables. Each visitor has the opportunity to experience firsthand the vibrant, bustling wet markets that remain integral to the daily lives of the Vietnamese people.
Immerse yourself in our cooking class where each guest enjoys a private cooking station stocked with all the necessary ingredients to master a thoughtfully curated menu of traditional Vietnamese dishes. Guided by our local head chef, you will be guided through the preparation of four iconic dishes, acquiring new skills and techniques along the way.

Menu
- Bo Bia: Jicama and sweet sausage hand-rolls, served with a light peanut-hoisin sauce.
- Ca Kho To: Braised clay pot fish and pork belly with caramel reduction.
- Che Dau Xanh Banh Lot: Vietnamese-style sweet parfait with cendol and coconut cream drizzle.
- Goi Cuon: Prawn and pork belly spring rolls, served with a light peanut hoisin sauce.
- Banh Xeo: Vietnamese sizzling crepe stuffed with prawn and tender pork belly.
- Pho Ga: Traditional Vietnamese noodle soup with poached free-range chicken.
- Creme Caramel: Topped with Vietnamese-style espresso and crushed ice.

"Amazing course in a lovely setting, 3 delicious dishes to eat or take home."
We were met at the market by the gorgeous Dung who led us on an informative tour of the market, explaining different ingredients and their uses in different dishes. We collected some fruits and went to the Cooking school where everything was prepared for us to cook 3 dishes. Summer rolls , Vietnamese pancakes and a delicious braised pork dish.
Dung spoke fabulous English and was adept at engaging her students with questions and interesting facts. She ensured everyone was managing their cooking tasks and the dishes were cooking as they should .
After our feast we were presented with certificates and a lovely recipe book to take home.
I would highly recommend this cooking class to anyone keen to recreate some of the delicacies tasted here in Vietnam! Thank you Dung!

"Best cooking class in Ho Chi Minh City"
Best cooking class we’ve ever done!
Authentic Vietnamese cuisine. Was very hands on and Dung the instructor was so helpful.
All the dishes were amazing. The pho we made was the most delicious I’ve ever had.
This class is a must do in Ho Chi Minh!

"The best experience cooking class ever"
My husband booked a cooking class for me while in Vietnam. He ended up joining me as his business meeting was postponed. We loved it! Dung took us through the Ben Thanh market pointing out and identifying all the spices, herbs, fruits and vegetables that are unique to Vietnamese cuisine. We also toured through the wet market viewing all the seafood and meats….so interesting!
Once back to the culinary school we prepared 3 dishes including fresh rolls made with shrimp and pork and fresh herbs and vegetables with a delicious dipping sauce, then thin crispy Vietnamese fried pancakes as well as a tasty carmelized pork cooked in a clay pot. We sat down to enjoy our meal with a pitcher of cold jasmine tea. Dung was an excellent teacher and attentive to the details of each of our dishes. She also showed us how to eat our food using the herbs and lettuce grew and sauces. I would recommend this cooking school. It was clean and bright and everyone who worked there was so friendly. I liked it so much, I went back the next day for a Vietnamese coffee making class with An. A was also so friendly and outgoing and also an excellent teacher. We made 4 kinds of coffee and they were each unique and delicious. I learned so much and now know what to order everyday in the numerous cafes and coffee houses we have gone to everyday since arriving in this beautiful country. I loved my coffee making class! An and Dung were both lovely and proved again that it’s the people you meet that truly make a trip a great experience.

"Fun and informative cooking class."
