Libzar cooking class is a great way to learn the secrets a Moroccan cuisine with our chef. The class last about 3 hours where the participants will learn how to make traditional mint tea, bread, Moroccan salads, a tajine and a desert. Afterwards, everyone gets to eat the delicious meal they have prepared.

"Fantastic family experience never to be forgotten!"
We booked to attend a 3-hour cooking course with Chef Assia. Our party consisted of 2 adults and a 13-year-old. The experience was fantastic. Chef Assia and her son were very friendly and put us at ease. They explained the correct process of making Morrocan tea and the reasons why. Then a taster of tea.... gorgeous! We then had an explanation of herbs and spices which we didn’t know before. Even the teenager was interested. Then came the cooking. The cooking stations were all laid out for us clean and well equipped. Chef Assia makes it all look so simple. We learnt how to make bread, a chicken and lemon tagine, 2 starters and a dessert. Chef Assia and her son were so patient and regularly checked on all of us in the group. They looked after all of us but really helped our teenager when she was having problems cutting. Once cooked we had the chance to sit in the beautiful restaurant next to the beautiful fire. We ate our own food which we had cooked and we were brought little appetizers from the kitchen, which were amazing. Our 2 other students were wonderful as well and it was lovely to get to know them over the diner. If anyone is looking for a place to learn how to cook a tagine, definitely this is the place to go. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the food is amazing but also a great place to let teenagers learn to cook as well. Thank you chef Assia....you have inspired us to cook!!!!!
"Fun and professional cooking class"
Cooking class under guidance from the restaurants chef cook. Class takes about 3hrs, and you make 5 dishes, with a tagine as main dish. Must say that the one we made was the best I had in Morocco. The room we used was new, with state of the art stuff used for cooking. It was handy to have a screen for yourself so you could clearly see everything she did. There was an air conditioner as well, which was heavenly as it was blazing hot outside. As one might expect all the ingredients were fresh and talked about so you know what you were gonna use. Have done several other cooking classes, and just like the others this one was amazing!

I have taken cooking classes all over the world and this class by far has been the best. I highly recommend this class. The class was very thorough and easy to follow along and the food we made was amazing. You get personalized teaching from the chef.

Our group of seven took the afternoon cookery class at Restaurant Libzar. The class started with a demonstration of how Moroccan tea should be prepared and served. Then we were told about and smelt the main spices used in Moroccan cooking before moving to a purpose built teaching kitchen. The work stations had a large screen in front of them so we could watch the chef, Assia and then try and replicate her actions. She was very patient and calm with a lovely sense of humour. We each made our own individual tagine and two salads. The setup was so professional it felt like we were on Masterchef. After about two hours she pronounced them ready and we adjoined to the restaurant where they served us our creations accompanied by the wine we ordered. Everyone in our group, even the less confident cooks thoroughly enjoyed the experience and we would definitely recommend Assia and her restaurant - Libzar. They had no problem accommodating gluten and dairy intolerences.
