One of the best cooking classes we have done so far. Due to heavy rain we decided to skip the boat ride and take a ride on the motorcycle. Trough the small winding roads of the small islands we drove to the owners’ grandma's house. During the ride we stopped, and they explained all sorts of plants, vegetables and places to us.
Arrived at grandma's house we get to experience the old architecture. Together with several utensils to harvest rice that are more than 100 years old we were told how people in the region lived, worked and cooked. We made rice paper on our own and started cooking grilled pork on a bamboo skewer, banh xeo, the famous Vietnamese pancake, and tuna in a clay pot.
Overall, it felt more like cooking with friends while they teach you, their culture. We can heavily recommend this class to anyone coming to Hoi An. Thanks Lob for the great time!!
