Catacombs Tour with Lunch in Ancient Rome

소개

In this experience, we will take you on a journey back to Ancient Rome! We begin our activity with a typical Italian breakfast: cappuccino and croissant. This will give us time to meet each other and get an introduction to the history of the area. A short walk will then take us to little-known catacombs which can only be accessed through the San Pancrazio Basilica. These catacombs are very special because they are one of the few that have not been lost over the centuries. You will get to hear all about the martyrs who were buried there and the customs of the first Christians. 

Following this, we will invite you into our home for a truly authentic Roman "Prandium". Dressed in traditional Roman robes (only if you desire), we will recreate a typical lunch from 2,000 years ago. Made from the ancient Roman recipes of Apicius, you will have the chance to taste history with a spiced wine. This is a truly unique way to experience the history of Rome and we hope you will leave with new friends and a full belly!
