Tea Ceremony with Camellia Flower in Kyoto

소개

Camellia Flower offers an island of calm in the bustling heart of Higashiyama. Conveniently located a short walk from Kiyomizu Temple, the Ninenzaka neighbourhood is also filled with traditional houses, shops and restaurants.

At the start of your session, your instructor will welcome you with a brief introduction to the history and culture of tea, before performing the tea ceremony itself.

After being served a small traditional sweet, you will have the opportunity to make your own bowl of frothy Matcha under the guidance of your instructor. Sessions are informal and welcoming, and we hope you'll be inspired to ask questions.

For those wishing to come in Kimono, we have a partnership with a Kimono rental store, Yume Kyoto. It's just a minute’s walk, guests to our tea ceremony receive a discount from 5000 to 3000. It takes about an hour for staff to dress you in Kimono.

• 10:25 am: Enjoying a traditional Japanese sweet
• 10:30 am: Learn how to use basic tea utensils
• 10:35 am: Make your own Matcha 
• 10:45 am: End of the experience
