このクラスについて

Let's enjoy this cooking class together! In this experience, you'll learn basic but authentic home-style Japanese cuisine in or around Shinjuku, Tokyo, which is located at the center of Tokyo.

When you book this class, you can select one of four different menu options (see below). All of the menus is very popular and well-known dishes from Japan. This activity will take about 2 hours and 30 minutes to cook everything and then enjoy the meal we made together.

At last, If you have food allergies, let us know in advance. We can discuss our menu and what options will be available to you.

When booking, you have the option to select a set menu from the choices below. The host will prepare the ingredients in advance.

Menu A: Okonomiyaki (Japanese Pancake) Set

Note:

You can only choose the menu if you or your group are the sole attendees for the day. If another group is also attending the same class, menu selection is not available.

She taught the dishes cheerfully and with a lot of joy, especially things that she knew from home as a child... just home cooking!

The workshop space is perfectly equipped and cozy, Chieko is exceptionally kind and takes the time to explain the origin of the different ingredients, she shows the techniques with kindness even when we struggle with the chopsticks. The workshop was done entirely in English, with well-chosen and understandable vocabulary, all perfected by the tasting of our own preparations. A real treat! 😊

Aki san and Miyuki san were so kind, funny, entertaining, and knowledgeable. Our family, which includes a 17 year boy who wants to learn, and two experienced cooks who want to learn more, all got a lot out of the experience. Our guides gave us the cultural background on each of the dishes--and many of the individual ingredients. We were able to pick from a few different menus beforehand, so we could address any allergy or food restrictions in advance. With the photos and instructions we received, it was easy to find the kitchen after walking over from Shinjuku station. Meanwhile, we had a lot of fun prepping and cooking the dishes.
