The journey through the rural life of the Balinese people includes many attractive activities; such as traditional farming, a blacksmith tour, and of course cooking traditional Balinese food! Let yourself be amazed by the culture of Bali through this authentic hands-on activity.

First, you'll get your hands dirty with planting rice in the garden while learning about the farming techniques. Bali Rural Life will take you to a stunning farm where you can find jackfruit, coffee, cacao, mangosteen, palm trees, and other fruits and plants you probably never heard of before. Open your mind and heart to completely new flavors! You'll get a complete brief about each plant and the relationship it has with its environment, humans, and even God. 

After the interesting visit to the farm, you'll go to a local blacksmith's house to witness how the machete (Parang) is made with traditional tools and techniques. You'll learn about the philosophy of the blacksmith and the rituals that accompany the ancient craft. It's all about unity. 

Last but certainly not least, you'll learn about equally traditional techniques in the Balinese kitchen area called ‘Paon'. You'll be involved in the process from picking the herbs from the garden, to preprating the ingredients, cooking them, and ultimately enjoying them.
