The Taiwanese have a long history of using traditional Chinese medicines (also known as TCM), which are believed to balance out "Yin/Yang" within the body.
In our TCM cooking class, we'll explain the theory of "Yin/Yang" and introduce you to delicious Taiwanese recipes containing popular Chinese superfoods, medicinal herbs and seasonal produce.
Many of these ingredients have become famous around the world, especially goji berries, adlay (Job's tears) and black sticky rice.
We'll cook 1 main dish, 2 side dishes and 1 soup, and 1 dessert. All dishes will be seasonal and provide balanced nutrition. Note: Vegan options available on request.
Soup : Siwu Soup (4 herbs soup) / 四物湯
Main : Sesame Oil Chicken Rice / 麻油雞飯
Side Dish1: Pickled Stem Lettuce / 涼拌菜心
Side Dish2: Radish Cake / 蘿蔔糕
Dessert : Soy Pudding with Ginger Juice(from bean to pudding)/ 古早味薑汁豆花
