Thai cuisine is more accurately described as five regional cuisines, corresponding to the five main regions of Thailand
The art of vegetable carving is thought to have originated in the Sukhothai Kingdom nearly 700 years ago Thai cuisine is more accurately described as five regional cuisines, corresponding to the five main regions of Thailand:

Bangkok cuisine of the Bangkok metropolitan area, with Teochew and Portuguese influences.
Central Thai cuisine of the flat and wet central rice-growing plains, site of the former Thai kingdoms of Sukhothai and Ayutthaya, and the Dvaravati culture of the Mon people from before the arrival of Siamese in the area.
Isan or northeastern Thai cuisine of the more arid Khorat Plateau, similar in culture to Laos and also influenced by Khmer cuisine.
Northern Thai cuisine of the cooler valleys and forested mountains of the Thai highlands, once ruled by the former Lanna Kingdom and home of Lannaese, the majority of northern Thailand.
Southern Thai cuisine of the Kra Isthmus which is bordered on two sides by tropical seas, with its many islands and including the ethnic Malay, former Sultanate of Pattani in the deep south. Some food base on Hainanese and Cantonese influence.

Afternoon Session

1:30 pm: Pickup at meeting point at exit 3, Huai Khwang MRT Station.
2:00 pm: Learn about rice types and how to cook rice and glutinous rice. How to make coconut milk.
3:00 pm: Start cooking and eat until all 4 menus.
5:30 pm: End of the class.

"what a soulful experience"

my 15 yr old was keen on learning Thai cooking , was a little nervous dropping my child to an unknown class in a new country as a tourist , but the host is such a great human being , she took care of him , picked him up and also went out if the way to drop him back , not only did he come back with amazing skills in authentic Thai cooking , he made new friends and wanted to go again , unfortunately we were travelling back the next day , planning to send him for the whole week next time , my son's still talks about it

"lovely cozy authentic experience"

we reserved for 1 adult and 2 kids, it was a great experience for the kids, it was their first cooking class and they enjoyed it so much, learning about ingredients, tasting them and cooking. chef Aey was worm welcoming and she explained every single detail with love .thai cuisine was very interesting for me and i enjoyed every minute’s, the time went so fast. if you are interested in authentic home maid thai cooking experience chef Aey is great choice.

"Chef Aey is a gem!"

We were so lucky to pick Chef Aey's cooking class, she is so nice, funny and full of life! We're a family of 4 and Chef Aey picked us up from the train station and took us to the market where she explained the different ingredients that we were buying. We then went to her home where we made 4 courses while Chef Aey explained Thai cooking to us and revealed more about her amazing life. Her English is very good, and she explained everything really well so that the kids could easily follow the techniques, from squeezing the milk from the coconut shavings to the pestle and mortar and stir-frying using woks. This was a genuine experience that we really enjoyed, and the memory will stay with us for a very long time. Thanks Chef Aey!

"Fantastic Home Cooking Experience"

Absolutely great experience. It is at Aey's home so it's a true Thai home cooking experience. I learnt so much! Aey explains everything very well and structured, and I didn't only learn the recipes but also gained knowledge about the ingredients are their origin. Very small classes to one on ones, make a difference to other more "school-like" experiences. Highly recommend it!

"Best cooking class! So authentic and special."

Aey is a wonderful Chef. She picked us up at the MRT station and drove with us to the market. We went there our grocery for the cooking, it was a great experience seeing what locals buy and on what you should keep an eye on before buying. This is not just a cooking class, Aey teaches you about the flavors, rice, and food in general but also about the culture. There was no rush. We always had time to ask and get deep explaining so we understood what was going on. The food was outstanding! We loved every second of it! Aey, thank you so much for inviting us to your home and family. For teaching us all about your culture and food. We can’t wait to try it at home.
