River Cruise and Cooking Class in Cam Tranh Fishing Village

Join us to experience a completely different side of Hoi An. 

Your local guide will pick you up at your hotel, and then we'll all head to a local market. Discover Vietnam's culinary culture as you select fresh product for your upcoming cooking class — and even learn some Vietnamese words to bargain with vendors for your groceries! 

Next, we'll take a short walk to Hoi An harbour, once known as the busiest port in South East Asia in the 15th and 16th centuries. From here, we'll head onto a boat and ride along the bank of the Thu Bon River to arrive at Camh Thanh fishing village for our cooking class. 

This is an ecological fishing village located beside the sea. We'll take a short a bamboo basket boat trip to enjoy the unique coconut forest scenery, before starting the cooking class. 

You'll be guided by a professional local chef with many years of experience, who will demonstrate and instruct you in how to cook 4 traditional Vietnamese dishes. Everyone will enjoy the meal together and relax in the village, before returning to your hotel. 

If you wish to cook any specific dishes, please let us know in advance.

Programma

Morning Session:

• 8:00 am: Pick up from your hotel
• 8:20 am: Arrive at Hoi An central market to select ingredients
• 9:00 am: Ride on a boat along the Thu Bon River
• 9:45 am: Arrive at Cam Thanh fishing village and experience bamboo basket tour
• 10:30 am: Cook 4 dishes
• 11:30 am: Lunch time
• 12:30 pm: End of the tour and prepare to return to your hotel

Afternoon Session:

• 1:30 pm: Pick up from your hotel
• 1:50 pm: Arrive at Hoi An central market to select ingredients
• 2:30 pm: Ride on a boat along the Thu Bon River
• 3:15 pm: Arrive at Cam Thanh fishing village and experience bamboo basket tour
• 4:00 pm: Cook 4 dishes
• 5:00 pm: Dinner time
• 6:00 pm: End of the tour and prepare to return to your hotel
