Colombian Cooking Class and Grocery Shopping at Envigado's Local Market

First we meet at the meeting point and walk few blocks to get to the local market of Envigado where You'll get to see and taste the variety of local fruits and veggies, as we explain their origin and characteristics. But we don’t stop there, we go to a cozy and familiar kitchen where we want you to cook, with a chef, a Colombian meal! Try your own Colombia meal and get familiar with the ingredients and techniques used in this country.

Menú

Saturday:

• LOCAL MIX: Empanadas, ají criollo (spicy sauce), ajiaco (Colombian chicken soup), ensalada de repollo (cabbage salad), dulce de guayaba (sweet guava), avocado & jugo de Lulo (local fruit juice)

Sunday:

• CARIBBEAN FLAVORS: Chips de yuca (yuca chips), pescado frito (Caribbean style fried fish), patacón (plantain), arroz con coco (coconut rice), guacamole, plátanos calados (sweet plantain) & jugo de tomate de árbol (tree tomato juice). 

Programma

Saturday and Sunday 

• 10:00 am: Meeting at Envigado main square and get to the local market (3 minutes walk)
• 10:30 am: Local market tour. You get to try fruit juice
• 11:30 am: Walking to the private kitchen
• 11:35 am: Cook your own meal!

Please note that this experience needs a minimum of 8 people to take place. If you book for fewer people, you may be contacted to be asked to switch to a different day.
