Siam Garden Cooking School

We had an awesome time. Going to the market was great. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. I learned alot and can't wait to prepare some of the meals at home.

My partner and I had a great time at the Siam Garden cooking class! Cream and Fon were super friendly and made everything fun and easy to follow. The food was delicious, and they even went out of their way to post my sunglasses to my next hotel after I left them behind. Highly recommend!

The cooking class was very nice. Fon and the team have been very patient and friendly. The ambient was great and the food amazing.

I would recommend it! I did the cooking class with two friends. All meals can be made vegan/vegetarian. Your learn how to cook traditional Thai dishes and enjoy the meals afterwards. Nice menu with many different options to choose. The group was big but well organized. You can download a cookbook afterwards.

We enjoyed a very nice and familiar cooking event. All was very well organized. There was a good variety of dishes we could choose from. I do recommend that cooking class very much!

They coped well with an overbooked class although some of the cooking practices were slow which meant a lot of standing around. English speaking tutor (Gift) was good; the Roam Market visit was excellent.

The class was great! Gift is a really good teacher. She taught us a lot about the fruits and veggies on the local market and in the beautiful garden. The food we made was absolutely delicious. We were the only ones there together with a couple, being in a small group was nice and peaceful.

If you’re looking for a great day GO HERE! I can’t believe how beautiful every part was, from the incredibly welcoming family to their gorgeous dogs, stunning views and organic garden, we were shown every part and learnt so much about Thai ingredients and meals. The young ladies teaching us were absolutely amazing, so much fun and we all had such a laugh together! I will be telling everyone to come here if they want to learn about Thai cooking, the wholesome family vibe is wonderful. Thank you ever so much ☺️

We had a wonderfull experience at this cooking class. The cooking school has a nice garden with all kinds of herbs, which they explain the uses of and let you taste it. This is a great contribution to the cooking class. The cooking class was fun, the staff was nice and friendly, we made fun and delicious meals and we learned something about thai cuisine. Would definitly recommand this class.

We had a wonderful time cooking in the kitchen today.From start to finish we were looked after so well. The kitchen is built on the most beautiful grounds with a stunning garden. We were given our own private room to eat the food we had cooked which was so lovely. I learned so much and plan to try some of the recipes when I get home at the end of the trip😁✨

Mr.Art and other Staff was very helpful and funny :) We had great time ;) I enjoyed sooo much :) ขอบคุณมาก ๆ

Ein wirklich absolut gelungener Kochkurs bei dem weder der Spass noch der kulinarische Genuss zu kurz gekommen ist. Abholung wie Rücktransport alles toll organisiert (Schweizer Präzision😉) und Gerade bei deutsprachigen Gästen hatte der Chef immer ein offenes Ohr und konnte einem zur Not auch helfen. Gruss Stefan

I highly recommend this cooking school, if you want to have fun, learn real thai recipes and have amazing meals! In the morning class we were 6 of us, everybody cooked her own menu, (we could pick each food from the list), and the whole class were very professional and well organized by a small family business.

It was great fun learning how to make 6 dishes. The class wasn’t too full so it was nice. There were several teachers and they were very organized and clean. Overall great experience. The cooking book at the end was a great bonus! Definitely worth the money!

Food was delish. Hosts were legends. Locations was peaceful and not too far from town. I really liked the market visit too!

Every teacher is very nice and kind. Especially, I'm really thanks to teacher Art. At the time I was nervous about the class, however it was not last long thanks to Art. The curriculum is going too fast for me so that it was hard to note but it was no matter because at the end of the class they give us recipe book. When I back to my country and cook Thai food which I learned from here, I'll be reminded memories of this school. Thank you.

First of all the reception and the welcoming was great! The cooking teachers are fun, and the classmates were very nice and friendly. I enjoyed it very, very much. And the most important the food was amazingly delicious.

You could choose which 5 recipes you want to cook. First you go to a local market to get more information about the ingredients. All the ingredients you use are from the garden. Really great to learn more about Thai food! Nice staff as well.

We had a good time cooking a hanging out with the other guests. We signed up for the morning class but I got an email right away asking if we could do the evening class instead because of picked up. We were staying a little away from old town so not near other guests. We were picked up and met up with the group at the market. Then we went to the school and enjoyed the time learning about the ingredients, how to Make everything and then of course the eating. Would definitely recommend. The staff is also very friendly and funny so that made it even better.

I’m not a great cook and I love Thai food so I wanted to learn a few things I could take home with me. I chose this one as it was the best price and sounded ideal. First we were taken to a market on the way where we picked up fresh ingredients, then we got there and began to make our own dishes. We had a great variety of options to choose from to make a soup, appetiser, main curry, stir fry and dessert, which could be made vegetarian or vegan if required. The class was very informative and fun, and the food was amazing! We had the soup and appetiser before proceeding with the rest of the meals which was good as I was so full by the end of the day I couldn’t have managed it all in one! After our meal we had a tour of the garden where they grow their own vegetables and herbs. I had a great day, good value for money and would definitely recommend

Fantastic thai cooking class. We were picked up from opur hotel and it started with a brief market tour just outside the cooking school. We made a delicious 5 course meal (soup, appetizer, main dish, curry dish, and dessert). There were a ton of food options to prepare from, which if anything made it a little harder to follow since everyone was being told slightly different instructions but overall was well organized. We were given a well made recipe book at the end which we are excited to try out.

You get the full package- transport to and from. A trip to the market where they show and tell the ingredients we are going to use. Cook a 5 course meal which we sit and eat it afterwards, in a peaceful setting where you can socialise with others in the group. The staff were really friendly and entertaining. We got a free recipe book which included the dishes we cooked and more. And of course the food was delicious!

This class was so wonderful! First a great quick little tour of ingredients at the market and then at the garden of the cooking school. The staff was super friendly and fun to work with. Very well structured and the food was excellent!! Very fun to experience how to make it yourself. You receive a cookbook at the end to try it yourself at home. All in all a great experience that you should definitely try, and so cheap as well!

Art and Arty were very knowledgeable and helpful. My husband and I enjoyed our class so much, who would believe you can make delicious food with very simple fresh ingredients! I would recommend this class 100% to everyone! The best part is they show you how to make the Chiang Mai’s staple food!- Kaoh Soi!!!!

I had the best time having this class. The pickup service was very helpful. The tour at the market was really interesting, the garden is really pretty and I loved seeing the products we were about to cook growing in it. The dishes were delicious and well presented. The teachers were really nice! I recommend.

A truly remarkable experience. You'll learn everything from market to wok to table. The staff are fluent in English and have a great sense of humor to boot(Art in particular). The house and garden are beautiful, clean, and perfectly equipped for everyone. The food you'll cook is fantastic Thai fare, and you'll know the ingredients are top notch since you're cooking with them. They even provide you with a quality recipe book with all the recipes, so you won't need to take notes. Overall fantastic!!! A+++++

Wow! Even from the beginning at the market I knew I had spent my money well! They explained each ingredient and even what to substitute when back in our country. The facility is fabulous- beautiful garden, more than enough woks, great room for eating what we cooked. Teachers are all positive and smiling, and class is run seamlessly and organized. Best of all the food was absolutely delicious and I can’t wait to cook for my family when I get home!

We enjoyed the cooking class a lot - everything was well thought out and planned, from the market tour and garden tour through to the cooking itself. The staff was accommodating, knowledgable and friendly and the course itself was well run and organized! The food is actually fantastic - very traditional but easily adapted for dietary requirements. The food was some of the best we’ve had in Thailand and was really fun and easy to make. The enthusiasm of the staff really makes for an enjoyable experience.

On time pick up. Took us to their rural location close to Chiang Mai in comfort. Class was fun and excellent with knowledgeable and helpful staff.

Siam Garden was a lovely experience from start to finish. The entire staff was helpful, friendly, and quite knowledgable. The pickup service was very helpful, and the garden itself is a few minutes outside of the city proper. It was a lovely place, great for pictures! So good, I'd probably go again to try the other dishes!

I was with my family for a short vacation. There is no better way to experience Thai cooking when you are in Thailand. We got to experience firsthand fresh ingredients during the market tour, the smell of the spices and the Thai people you get to know, were the highlights. Overall, my family and I got to learn together while getting our hands busy. Great activity for the whole family!

We went to a local market and learned about different herbs in the garden of the beautiful cooking school.

The course is a perfect choice for everyone who likes to experience to cook thai food. We had excellent teachers and cooked in the wonderful garden of the family.

It was a good experience to participate in the cooking class. The teachers paid attention to us, had plenty of time and a good sense of humour. We were with our Kids, two boys age 10 and 12, and everybody learned a lot. First we had a short walk through their organic garden and the teachers presented the different herbs and vedgetables we were going to use. We made 5 individual dishes, 2 appretizers and after enjoying them, we made 2 main dishes and a dessert. There were plenty of delicious, tasty, good and if you don't eat it all, you can take it home in a goody bag. We will gladly recommed it!

We would repeat the course until all the dishes are learned to cook! The staff was nice and fun, they picked us up in time and stopped at a local market, the cooking school is beautiful! Nice garden, all clean and each of us had our own cooking station. Everything was well explained and ofcourse all the 7 dishes we cooked were very tasty, actually it was the best food we ate in Thailand so far. Thanks for the amazing experience.

Really loved this class and learned a lot. I stick to a vegan diet, and they were really mindful about accommodating my dietary restriction. The space is nice and relaxing, and the instructors are kind.

I had to cancel my class due to flight changes but the host was extremely understanding.

Wir haben den Kurs mit Gam gemacht. Alles war super erklärt und leicht verständlich, sogar für Kochmuffel ;-) Alle Gerichte waren super lecker und leicht zuzubereiten. Auf dem Markt und im eigenen Kräutergarten hat sie uns vorher schon die einzelnen Zutaten erklärt. Insgesamt ein wirklich toller Abend. Hat sich gelohnt.

The staff at this cooking school were very friendly and knowledgeable. I recommend making this a part of your trip because it was definitely the highlight of mine. A must if you're in Chiang Mai!

Der Kochkurs war toll, doe Location auch (bei Tag ist das da bestimmt superschön!). Es wurde alles gut und verständlich erklärt und das Essen am Ende war so so lecker! Hoffentlich bekommen wir das zuhause dann genauso hin. Der Anfang war allerdings etwas chaotisch, wir wurden viel zu spät abgeholt und bis wir auf dem Markt waren hatten wir schon nach 17 Uhr. Entsprechend länger ging der Kochkurs hinten raus, wir waren erst gegen 21:30 Uhr zurück am Hostel.

Very hands on, class sizes are small, and the food was delicious. The facility was beautiful. We were able to take our leftovers home, which was a lot since we made 6 different dishes. It was so fun that each person could customize what they want. The recipe book they give you is also amazing! It has over 50 recipes. Highly recommend!

I did an evening class and it ended up just being me in the class. My teacher, Gam, was so sweet and knowledgeable. The local market, garden and class were all fabulous. I ended up having extra food after to take home with me!!! The cook book is such a nice touch. Thank you for the wonderful time.

This cooking class was really wonderful. The school has been around for a few years but is new to cookly. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The dishes we cooked were absolutely delicious! Would highly recommend this experience. Great value and the cookbook they give you is fantastic.

The class was great. Teachers and owners are extremely friendly and gave us great cooking tips. Dishes were composed perfectly and what is important - no waste of food there. Garden and market trip were great topping on this experience. Highly recommended!

We took the evening course last Thursday and had an amazing time! We were picked up at our hotel, then got some time to spend at a local market where we also got some explanation about the types of herbs, vegetables and everything they sold there. When we arrived at the cooking school itself we were openly welcomed by all the staff members. The explanation for the dishes were easy to understand, the staff was funny and making jokes with our group and eventually we got to sit down and eat our own cooking. I had an amazing day and would highly recommend the Siam Garden Cooking School! Thanks so much again for the great time!

This is an amazing experience. We were picked up from our hotel and taken to a market to see and get explanations about all the ingredients used in Thai cooking. Momi was our teacher and was excellent. On arrival at the cooking school everything was clean and prepared for us. We chose 6 different dishes to prepare and cook and then enjoyed eating them. It was a large group (20) but it was so well organised and it was so good to meet and chat with the other guests which were from various parts of the globe. Well worth the 900 bahts charged and definitely value for money Definitely recommend

Amazing Experience, we chose this one over the others as we felt you got more for your money and they took photos for you on the day ( waiting for them to be uploaded ) and you got your own cookbook to take away with you. The family were lovely and Art who was our primary teacher was absolutely hilarious! You had your own wok and bits so there was no overcrowding! Only advisory i would say is we went as a couple and chose different meals so we could share and try each other but unless you choose the same you will not be sat together to cook only to eat. Overall 5* was a truly Thai authentic experience!
