We participated in a class of 7 to improve our skills at making ragu, pasta and tiramisu. It was a fantastic way to spend an evening. Lots of homemade wine and olive oil, beautiful home setting and Chef Dandy was a very patient and skilled teacher. A very social evening and it was fun to meet interesting people from different places. I feel a lot more confident tackling homemade pasta and tiramisu in the future. Thanks to Chef Dandy and his mother for a wonderful experience! Highly recommended.
Dandy and Otilia are two lovely people who will take time to get you through every step of the course. Dandy also makes his own wine and olive oil, which are of course provided and the taste is wonderful. The villa is beautiful with a great view towards the valley. We were with a group of seven and had the best fun and learnt a lot. “Mezzaluna” and “piano piano” are words to remember! Overall a very good course, tasty food, lovely and warm people and a very nice amount of wine!
This was by far one of the most lovely experiences we had in Italy with my wife, looking to immerse in Italian culture with an Italian family. This lovely couple open his house to share a real culinary experience and at the same time become friends. The experience is priceless and Highly recommended, you wont regret it. Thank you , we will be back. Cesar & Damaris
My husband and I took a cooking class (just the two of us) taught by Dèdalo and his wife Otilia in their home. My Italian is so-so but my husband only speaks English but communication wasn’t a problem; Dèdalo and Otilia speak English well. We were made to feel very welcome. The class (lasting about four hours) consisted of two kinds of bruschetta that Dèdalo had made (he shared the recipes with us), a ragù that he made with us, fresh pasta that Otilia made with us, and ended with tiramisù that we made with her. Water, caffè, and wine were freely offered. My husband and I then ate our meal on their terrace that had a beautiful view. The family was just lovely. Dèdalo’s parents were there pitching in, as were their young daughter and her cousin. It was a peek into Italian family life capped off with a delicious meal. We thoroughly enjoyed their generous hospitality and would highly recommend this experience to anyone who enjoys cooking.
Chef Dandy and Chef Otilia, both true Italians, are here to share the secrets of authentic Tuscan home cooking! They have a deep love for food and cook with passion and respect.
Cooking isn’t complicated; it’s all about doing it with joy. Chef Otilia's fondest childhood memories are tied to food—whether it was the penne with tomato sauce from nursery school, the onions from her Aunt Elisa’s garden enjoyed with vinaigrette, her mom’s crostini with pâté, family picnics, or the milk and biscuits his father made for her every morning.
They have always enjoyed learning new things, but cooking particularly interested them, so what else could they do? Cook!
