In this class, you'll learn to make three classic and beloved Japanese dishes: Gyoza, Onigiri, and Miso Soup. Gyoza, a popular dish worldwide, features a filling of minced pork, chicken, seafood, or thick fried minced fish, mixed with vegetables, all wrapped in a flour skin and baked to a crisp
. For those with wheat allergies, we can substitute the crust with rice flour. Onigiri, the famous Japanese rice ball, is made with soft-cooked rice and filled with delicious ingredients such as grilled salmon, pickled plums, or seaweed tsukudani, and then rolled in nori and sprinkled with furikake. Finally, you’ll master the art of making authentic miso soup, starting with a traditional dashi broth made from kelp and dried bonito flakes, and learn how to incorporate miso, the classic fermented seasoning, for a truly authentic taste.

Hand's On,The delicious Japanese rice is soft-cooked and filled with grilled salmon, pickled plums, pickles, or seaweed tsukudani (food traditionally eaten by the Japanese over rice, which has become popular around the world), then rolled into an onigiri nori (rice ball) and eaten with furikake (a traditional food traditionally eaten by the Japanese over rice, which is becoming popular around the world) sprinkled around it.
