An original day trip from Rome to discover the City of Wine! We will first make you visit the old town of Frascati to discover the places of the wine & food tradition, meet local artisans and taste artisanal wine!

We will then transfer you in 5 minutes to our 9th generation family farmhouse. There the family will lead you to visit the old vineyards and the old wine cellar of the historic winery, where you will be introduced to the famous Frascati wine. The Minardi Historic Farmhouse is now a sort of “Frascati Wine Museum”, a family-run Wine Farmhouse surrounded by ancient vineyards, olive groves and breathtaking views.

We will guide you through a professional tasting of the three boutique wines and oil of the family production! All of the wines will be paired with a Lunch served at the farmhouse and prepared by our Chef! Familiar Atmosphere, Vegan and Vegetarian-friendly!

Programa

Train Guide:

During weekdays and on Sundays we suggest you to take the train at 9 49am from Rome termini station to
Frascati station (9:54am on Sundays), we then meet outside frascati station in the middle of the square!
Only on SATURDAYS, we suggest you to take the train at 10:14 am from Rome termini station to Tor vergata
station (the main destination on the billboard is Cassino, but you have to get off in tor vergata station
after 17 Minutes ride only).

Otherwise if you decide to come with your own car or taxi/Uber, please message us

Saturday Class:

10:14 am: Catch the train in Rome Termini Station towards Tor Vergata Station
10:31 am: Arrive at Tor Vergata railway station where you'll meet a member of the family to pick you up
10:40 am: A small walk around the beautiful town of Frascati
11:00 am: We'll take you to Minardi Historic farmhouse for your wine tour, Tasting, and Pizza making class at the farmhouse with our good pizza master; Nice Pizza and antipasti dinner after the class!
2:00 pm: After the tour, we will drive you back to Frascati town
2:36 or 3:36 pm: Take a train back to Roma Termini from Frascati, there are also other trains if you will like to stay more time in Frascati!

Weekday Classes:

9:49 am: Catch the train in Rome Termini Station towards Frascati
10:15 am: Tour of Frascati town
11:10 am: transfer to the Wine Farmhouse
11:20 am: Wine Tour in the vineyard and old cellar
12:15 pm: Guided Wine Tasting and gourmet lunch
2:15 pm: transfer back to Frascati center

"Best part of our Rome Trip"

Had an easy time booking through Cookly and I got an email confirmation right away. The tour was as described, we met Claudio at the taxi stand and had a small group tour (13 people) of the town of Frascati. Claudio was a knowledgeable and spirited tour guide with lots of interesting bits of information! We stopped in Frascati for the first wine tasting, then made our way to the vineyard for a beautiful and authentic taste of Italian wine. The small group setting made it a very intimate compared to other tours we had experienced. The wine and food were awesome, and the hosts were very helpful. Definitely recommend doing this as part of your trip, as it was the favorite part of ours!

Booking with Cookly was easy and quick. I got a confirmation email almost instantly. The experience was awesome! Everything was as described, from trains leaving, to quality of wine. We met Claudio at the taxi stand and started a spirited tour of Frascati with a small tour group (13 people). We stopped in the city for our first wine tasting, then made our way to the vineyard and experienced and authentic vineyard with lots of history and character. The wine was amazing and we got proper glasses and not small samples. Claudio was a knowledgeable and spirited tour guide with lots of information about the town and vineyard. Everything and everyone was authentic, the wine was delicious, and the views we're breath taking! Definitely the best part of our trip and will be going back if we come back to Rome!

You will catch the train in Rome Termini Station at 9:49 am on weekdays for the morning class towards Frascati. The train ride is only 22 minutes and costs 2.20€. We suggest you arrive around 30 minutes earlier at the station to take the train tickets either in advance online (www.trenitalia.com) or at the newspaper kiosks or tobacco shops inside the station! On Saturdays: You will catch the train at 10:14 am from Rome Termini station to Tor Vergata station. The train ride is only 17 minutes and costs 1.50€.

Once arrived in Tor Vergata station, please exit from the opposite entrance by walking on the transparent tunnel above the train platforms and you will see a member of the Minardi Family welcome you outside the entrance of Tor Vergata station, waiting for you to start the experience!
