It's time to get creative in this fun sushi-making class, where you'll learn the art of kazarimaki – also known as decorative sushi rolls.
This playful form of sushi uses natural colors and ingredients to create sushi with decorative patterns, ranging from simple flowers to cartoon characters.
Kazarimaki can be difficult to make without learning from a professional, even for Japanese people, and you won't normally find it being sold in sushi shops or restaurants.
We also offer traditional Japanese clothing for those who'd like to change before the class starts (kimono for women, samue for men, and dougi and yukata for kids).
After the class, you'll receive a certificate from SAKURA, an original recipe booklet, and photos that we'll send to you via email.
You also have the option to choose from a variety of sake, beer and wine which are made in Kyoto. Soft drinks are also available.
