Two Mexicans and to mix it up... One Aussie… each with something special to offer. The couple: Jessica, the Aussie traveller, now living in Mexico, along with Carlos, the Mexican himself with a history in tourism, have a real passion for food and people. After eating Manny's tacos for countless dinners at his taco stand, for they are the best tacos in Tulum, we became eager to share this with the rest of the world. There is something special about Manny, not only with his delicious food and the fact he is an established chef but also the way he interacts with locals and travellers/foreign people.
Venue
We will meet at The Sheck Hostel 's spacious kitchen where we will conduct the cooking workshop. The space is wonderful as it creates an intimate and quiet environment for us to stand around the table and learn together. Here you will meet with your hosts and Chef Manny.

You will be exposed to the importance of tacos in Mexican cuisine and understand why it is considered UNESCO's heritage.
This engaging, hand on experience will show you a variety of traditional meats and their marinations, along with traditional vegetables and salsas to accompany the tacos. So whether you are looking for meat options or vegetarian, there is something for everyone in this interactive experience.
Of course you will be hungry after smelling the divine flavours and spices, so you will be craving Manny's delicious creations and finally know what the hype is all about with his tacos.

Notes
All the recipes are traditonal to the Yucatan and passed down through generations. This is a showcase of all the traditional ingredients used in Mexico and in the Yucatan, as well as some of the ancient methods that can now be used in a conventional and modern way.
The experience will be hosted by Jessica (a traveller living in Mexico) and Mexican Carlos who is passionate about his culture, along with a cook and tacquero known for his cochita pibil in the Yucatan.
Our purpose is to inform people about authentic Mexican and Yucatecan cuisine in an intimate and delicious way.
