"Terrific!"
This class was really special. Chris artfully links together the history, legends and science of chocolate and maize with themes of community, spirituality, and sustainability. It was a fascinating four hours. Plus, the food was terrific!
"Discover just how much more chocolate offers beyond deliciousness!"
confess as a chocoholic I came for the tastings, but this tour offers so much more than I could have imagined. Chris has studied chocolate - its origin, its history and its cultural significance and he shares all that he has learned as he takes you through a magical tour through the beautiful colonial city of Oaxaca. By the end of the tour I was not only on a bit of a chocolate high, I also felt I’d seen a Oaxaca I didn’t know existed. I understood a little more the daily rituals of the city; its history and its connections to the ancient past through cacao, and I swear every time I drink or eat chocolate now I think of its connection to the gods. Highly recommended as an unforgettable experience.
"Excellent experience"
This is an outstanding walking tour. It is the right balance of information, seeing and doing. It’s also a great way to get a feel for the city. Highly recommend this one.
