Market to Table - Cook a 2 Course Thai Lunch or Dinner with a Local near the Wat Pho Temple

Hello, I'm Andy, the main teacher and chef of Clay Pot Thai Cooking Mate which was created to hare Thai food and Thai culture. Located only about 50 meters from the famous and beautiful Wat Pho, I will teach you the original and local Thai food.  

My passion for cooking started since I'm 8 years old when I started to cook for my family and my passion has now grown to teach cooking to the world. I've cooked for his family since he was 8 years old. I moved to Bangkok for my bachelor and MBA in South East Asian studies. I've now combined my interest in Street food, eating culture and food cultures of the S.E.A. region.

Menu

At the beginning of the class you'll choose together with group 2 from the following dishes:

Soup

• Tom yum soup
• Coconut milk soup with chicken
• Rice noodles with gravy

Curry

• Green curry
• Red curry
• Massaman curry

Stir-fry

• Pad Thai
• Cashews nut with chicken
• Sweet & sour pork
• Fried noodles with sweet sauce
• Pad Kaphao (Chickens basil)

Other

• Green papaya salad
• Sweet chilly eggs.

*Vegetarian dishes are also available

Schedule

Morning Classes:

• 09:45 am: Arrival at the cooking studio with refreshing Thai herbal drinks
• 10:00 am: Depart to a local Thai market where the instructor will accompany you to discover varieties of fresh Thai herb, vegetable, fruit and other goods.
• 10:45 am: Back to the cooking studio and get ready for Thai cooking. (Apron, recipes and notes are provided)
• 11:00 am: Theoretical class begins, the instructor explains and demonstrates each dish procedures at the cooking floor.Later, it’s practical time to learn and experience Thai recipes with techniques in easy steps!You will have your own space with stove and cooking equipment, with assistance from the instructor.
• 1:00 pm: Ready to taste your own Thai dishes

Afternoon Classes:

• 1 pm: Arrival with refreshing Thai herbal drinks at the cooking studio
• 1:30 pm: Depart to a local Thai market where the instructor will accompany you to discover varieties of fresh Thai herb, vegetable, fruit and other goods.
• 2:30 pm: Back to the cooking studio and get ready for Thai cooking. (Apron, recipes and notes are provided)
• 2:45 pm: Theoretical class begins, the instructor explains and demonstrates each dish procedures at the cooking floor.Later, it’s practical time to learn and experience Thai recipes with techniques in easy steps!You will have your own space with stove and cooking equipment, with assistance from the instructor.
• 4:00 pm: Ready to taste your own Thai dishes
