Lisbon Market Experience: Market Tour + Hands-On Portuguese Cooking Class

About

This is the best way to know the Portuguese gastronomy and a huge part of our culture. 

We will meet at the Lisbon Cooking Academy and then we will walk to the local market (around 8-minute walk) to buy fresh ingredients for our lunch. During the visit to the market, we will chat about the richness of Portuguese products, their diversity and their role on the local gastronomy. 

After the visit, we will head back to Lisbon Cooking Academy, where we will cook our own lunch. The menu will vary according to the available products at the market, however, you can count with a starter, a main course, and a dessert. During the class, we will share with you all the tips and secrets about the recipes and in the end, we will eat our own food paired with red and white wine or soft drinks. 

Wine and snacks will be available during the class (some people say the best way to cook is with a glass of wine in your hand!). 

Menu

The menu will vary according to season and available products at the market, but you can count on:

• Starter course (usually a light dish based on meat)
  Main course (usually based on fresh fish since this ingredient is the highlight of the local market)
  Dessert (traditional Portuguese pastry)
  Drinks (wine, soft drinks, coffee and tea is included)
