When most people hear Japanese food, they think of sushi, sashimi and tempura, but this is only one side of the story. This course teaches about real home style cooking and lets you discover the tastes and techniques of Japanese home cooking.
You will make miso soup from scratch as well as three seasonal side dishes before the main event, which will combine three Japanese favourites: fresh ginger, pork loin and fragrant shiso leaves! The grand finale is a lesson in making mochi, a traditional Japanese dessert made with rice flour and Okinawan kuromitsu honey. After the tasting time you will take a break with Japanese brown rice green tea.
Let's get cracking with welcome drink! 'Kanpai!'
