Join me, a passionate local home cook from Varanasi, for an immersive culinary experience where you’ll explore the rich flavors of authentic Indian vegetarian cuisine. In this class, you will learn to prepare traditional North Indian dishes using homemade spices that bring out the true essence of Indian flavors.

We’ll create a variety of dishes, including:

Thali: A wholesome platter featuring Chapati (Indian bread), Dal (lentils), Sabji/Curry (vegetables), Rice, and Sweets.
Popular vegetable-based dishes like Paneer Butter Masala, Malai Kofta (milk-cream dumplings), and Roasted Eggplant (Baingan Bharta).
Different types of Indian breads, such as Naan, Chapati, Puri, and Bhature.
Snacks from across India, including Chole Bhature, Pakoras, and Samosas.

You’ll also master the art of making classic Indian beverages like Masala Tea (Indian Chai) to complete your culinary journey. Whether you’re a seasoned cook or a beginner, this hands-on class will leave you inspired and confident in preparing delicious vegetarian meals bursting with authentic Indian flavors.

"Amazing to make authentic Indian food."

Myself and my two friends had an amazing experience learning to cook Indian dishes with Sona. The food was all freshly ready and Sona was extremely helpful and informative in every step of the way. The end result was delicious!! We highly recommend a cooking class with Sona when you’re in Varanasi

"The cooking class with Sona was one of the highlights of our trip to India."

We were googling cooking classes in Varanasi and Sona’s class popped up. It was super easy to arrange everything online, Sona gave us instructions on how to find the place and so we arrived. We opted for the Thali cooking class and this was one of our go to meals during the trip. We cooked Dhal, Chana masala, rice and chapati. The whole experience was very hands on and all of us had a go with preparing the meal. Sona is a great cook and it translates into the meals and the cooking class. You can really tell that she enjoys what she’s doing. The cooking was accompanied with stories and lovely conversations. At the end we managed to create a really delicious meal. If I am ever again in Varanasi, I will definitely sign up for another cooking class.
