Your host will make karaage (Japanese-style fried chicken) to crisp perfection, and stir fry noodles with a delicious savory sauce and toppings to make yakisoba. You'll learn to make Osaka’s classic dish, takoyaki octopus dumplings. These three are classic foods you'll find in yatai food stalls during festivals (matsuri)! After all the hard work, enjoy what you prepared for lunch with your host, bilingual Japanese-American instructor Samurai Max.
Learn more about Japanese cuisine and culture with Max, and wrap up the experience on a sweet note with a seasonal dessert and green tea. Itinerary: -Meet Samurai Max at Matsuyamachi Station -Short walk to the kitchen venue while getting to know your host -Your host will prepare classic Japanese dishes (yakisoba and karaage), and will teach you how to make takoyaki octopus dumplings -Enjoy the lunch you prepared with tea and a seasonal dessert over a conversation with Samurai Max. -(Optional) Tour the market with your host.

This experience is family-friendly, too! Children are welcome to join the cooking or play with toys and video games in the meantime and join you for lunch. The best part is, this experience is held in the kitchen of a spacious and stylish private room in the upper floor of a building, and you can enjoy a spectacular view of Osaka from the balcony!
