This is a traditional life-sustaining cooking class in the forest, using fresh vegetables from nature free from the organic garden. The vegetables are grown by the local community in the most natural way possible. In the class, you'll therefore only use seasonal ingredients.
You'll learn the process of cooking is the local way of life such as scraping coconut, squeezing coconut milk, cooking rice in bamboo tubes, and preparing food on a traditional charcoal stove.
Learn about food history including how to make banana flower tempura, stir-fried papaya with egg, coconut milk soup with ferns and shrimp, coconut milk soup with green vegetables and shrimp and or roasted chicken with herbs.
Learn about the local food history, while preparing three (main) dishes, such as banana flower tempura, stir-fried papaya with egg, coconut milk soup, or roasted shrimp/chicken with herbs. To get the taste buds everything they desire, you'll also prepare some seasonal fruits and a delicious Thai dessert.
You can also enjoy a coffee served in bamboo tubes. Later, you can take away the bamboo cups as a souvenir from this class.
