Get close to the soul of Venice in this traditional cooking class. The class takes place in a typical Venetian home, where you learn about Venetian culture and history through the preparation of food.
The menu is carefully selected by the chef, however vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free options are available upon request. The class will kick off with the preparation of a tasty welcome aperitif, the famous Italian Spritz. It will be accompanied by a luscious appetizer. As you'll move through the menu, you'll learn how to prepare the traditional Venetian "cichèti; a variety of small snacks or side dishes are eaten with fingers and toothpicks. From there, you'll get yourself working on the main course; fresh homemade ravioli with shrimps and "burrata" cheese. The give the taste buds all they need, the last dish you'll prepare is a local dessert.
During the class, the chef will be enlightening you about all the ingredients and their link to the Venetian tradition. The fact that is making use of so many spices is a testimony to the historical commercial relations the city has had with the East for almost a millennium.
At the end of the class, you'll experience the taste of your creations together. If the weather allows it, you'll eat outside on the big terrace.
