This award-winning Eco-Tour takes you through the rural landscapes surrounding the city of Venice. During this 4-hours tour, you'll explore the lagoon through the eyes of a local. By boat, you'll visit an organic farm located in the salt marsh area of Chioggia and learn about the local (food) culture. 

Experience the best of local food production of the Chioggia region and taste the best produces the territory has to offer. You'll be exploring the places of origins of the food and meet the local families responsible for food production.  Learn how they combine the two leading activities of the territory of Chioggia — agriculture, and fishing.

This immersive tour includes a delicious seafood lunch and a cooking demonstration. Enjoy the taste of products almost extinct such as salt marsh honey and seasonal delicacies from both the nearby sea and the local land.

• Seasonal farm produce tasting (e.g. boiled asparagus, fresh eggs, tomatoes salad)
• Mussels cassopipa style, with onions and white wine
• Pasta with clams

Schedule

• 10:00 am: Meet the group at the meeting point and board our boat 
• 10:10 am: 30-minute boat tour of the Southern Venice Lagoon
• 10:40 am: Visit to a farm in the saltmash area of Valli di Chioggia and sip some prosecco while you taste the seasonal produces
• 11:30 am: Aperitif in the farm with seasonal delicacies.
• 12:00 pm: 4 courses seafood lunch on a fishing boat.
• 2:00 pm: The end of the tour.
