Let's go on tour of discovery through one of Rome’s oldest and most characteristic food markets oozing with charm: Trionfale food market!
With 273 stalls, an abundance of scents and flavors seep out from every stall. We'll take you to the vendors selling the best seasonal produce, which you can use to make truly local recipes for your kitchen.
This is not just a simple food tour but a tour of the senses. You'll be transported back in time to discover the stories behind the market and its stallholders. You will meet some of the famous stallholders in the market, including Iolanda, Tonino or Gianni, who will welcome you to their world in true Roman fashion. Through their Roman dialect and gestures, their produce will be colorfully explained — produce which, in many cases, has come straight from the fields they have tilled.
Rome is more than just the Colosseum and its ruins. If you come to Rome without visiting this market, would mean missing out on a unique opportunity not just to pamper your senses and taste buds, but also to feed your innate curiosity as a traveler.
