You will have the chance to discover the culinary history of Syracuse through the “mouth” of a local. A unique experience in the heart of Ortigia! You discover the culture and the dishes of the Italian and Sicilian culinary tradition, passing between the history of its strett food shops and visiting a traditional old Sicilian area, where the colors and smells mingle with the raccomendation of the sellers. You will visit Piazza Archimedes, the famous Jewish quarter of Giudecca, where we will see the typical narrow streets and the Jewish bath "miqwaot", Piazza Duomo, and finally to the source, Arethusa, all surrounded by the scents of the Sicilian street food. You will learn to know and choose the ingredients then tasted them. Sicily is the 5th place in the world for the quantity and quality of Street Food. You enjoy many foods, from savory to sweet, while the Chef Angelo will explain the origin and history of these.
