Hoi An Life Cycle

We were picked up at our Hotel and then walked around the outdoor market. Long told us about the ingredients and lots of interesting facts about the market. We really enjoyed the cooking experience with Long’s brother who is a trained chef. Everything was very clean and organized. The food was delicious! We made papaya salad, spring rolls, Vietnamese pancakes and chicken curry. Then we went into the Water Coconut Forrest on small round basket boats made from bamboo. What a fun experience!

Everything was really well organized. We had shitty weather but they gave us ponchos for the rain right away! The cooking itself was really fun, our instructor was nice, her English was very good and she was pretty funny aswel. The dishes we got to make we very nice, we’ll probably try to make them back home with the recipe booklet we got! All and all would definitely recommend.

We met the best ecotourist guide and really enjoyed the tour. It was very good to look around the market and ride a basket boat and take a cooking class. Our ecotourism schedule was over by eating the food we cooked in the cooking class, and the food we made was really delicious. The bottom line is, it was a perfect tour!

Fantastic experience, with a short trip over the market, a 45 min boat trip, a crab fishing experience in a local round boat, and the preparation of four dishes (see photos). Great food and good hosts. Can only recommend :)!

It was all fun and good experience to watch local market, sellout, and cook Vietnamese food. Thanks to the couple who speak English well, I could understand and imitate them easily. If you want to have a special experience in Hoi An, I strongly recommend this place. You will have a good memory.

We expected a simple tour through the Coconut Forest and then a short cooking course, but we were in fact surprised by the quality of the tour, equipment and the skills of the guides and chef! The boat tour was entertaining and so was the cooking. We were a small group of 5 people. We did all the cooking together with the chef and then had a delicious meal! We can recommend this cooking tour to any travelers with interest in cooking and vietnamese food culture! Thomas and Laura from Germany :)
