Siamese Cookery House Bangkok Thai Cooking Class

We were a family group - 2 adults and 14 year old son. It was a great family activity as so relaxed and fun! We all thoroughly enjoyed it and learnt a huge amount from our teacher Goog. We are looking forward to cooking lots of authentic Thai food once we get home to the U.K.

Walking through the market, cooking and eating delicious Thai food has been a extremely positive experience. Teacher was knowledgeable. Only less positive point is that recipe booklet provided is not equal to the sequences done during the class, but results are equally good.

Host arrived at meeting point on time. Explained schedule for afternoon. Very friendly and spoke good English. Took us through market and explained what ingredients were needed. Cooking venue was reached by tuk tuk at no extra cost. Cooking venue was clean, spacious and air conditioned.. Actual cooking lesson was fun and interesting.

Cannot reccomend this class enough! Nam, our teacher and head chef for the day, was so charming, kind and funny and made the hours flew by. We learned a lot about Thai food and made delicious dishes and had the best time, it was the highlight of our stay in Bangkok! Make sure to come hungry!

So much fun and happiness! I am a solo traveler and joined the class by myself but the teacher Ning and other four participants were so nice and welcoming. I had a great time cooking and having conversations with them. The wet market tour filled with excitement! Love checking out the variety of fresh vegetables, seafoods and spices lined up! Tuk tuk ride to the kitchen studio was fun. Our teacher Ning was a funny and charming. We cooked 4 dishes, so everyone should starve yourself to join the class! It was my first time cooking Tom yum kung and curry from the scratch. Also the first time to try mango sticky rice but it was surprisingly good! This cooking class is highly recommended!!

Our teacher was such a beautiful person, she taught us well and made it fun and the food was delicious. The other people working there were also so kind, efficient, and good at their jobs. It was a great experience.

My Husband and I completed a cooking class yesterday with Cookly. Our teacher was Ning, she was so funny, passionate and enthusiastic she really made the experience even more special. A really engaging and we'll organized class. I feel I was immersed completely in a world of cooking excellence à la Thailand. Our instructor Nam was really professional at conveying the concepts and guiding our clumsy efforts and the results were both beautiful to look at and then, later, to consume! In less than 5 hours we shopped, got advice on what the market offers, selected ingredients, prepared, cooked and consumed 4 signature Thai dishes. Fantastic value and a great learning experience!

The organization was perfect. We went to the fresh market to buy our fresh ingredients then went to the school class where they are taking care of everything so we can cook in the perfect and enthusiastic atmosphere. And I have to say our teacher was always in a good mood, joking and making everyone feel comfortable. I definitely recommend! Note : don't eat before going there :)

It has been our greatest experience in Bangkok. Ning has been wonderful with our (small, only 5 people) group, she was funny, bubbly and every other great adjectives you could think off! What a perfect way to spend the day, visiting the local markets and learning to cook authentic Thai food from SCRATCH like literally milking coconuts and adding local ingredients that are not ready-made with a fun group and a great chef and mentor (Nan), we had such a wonderful time and the food we made ourselves was so delicious made us think we could open our own restaurant. Definitely would recommend anyone who wants to have a unique experience outside the normal activities in Bangkok. 10/10.

Loved this cooking class! Our teacher Gung was really friendly, helpful and had interesting anecdotes about the ingredients and cooking techniques. We made coconut milk and tamarind paste by hand, and we each got our own wok for cooking. Between meals, the staff clean up so everything is ready and prepped for your next dish. Come hungry- between the four dishes, the cost of the class is worth it for the amount of food itself! After the market tour, the class includes a short tuk tuk ride to the school. We will definitely try to cook these dishes at home!

My friend and I did a class with Naan, and it was an outstanding experience! I highly recommend this class to anyone - no matter what cooking experience you may have. Naan is fun and knowledgeable and is the perfect guide for learning how to cook Thai food. The house is beautiful and the way the food preparation - cooking - eating areas are set up makes for a seamless experience. The team's attention to detail and eye for presentation adds to the experience and fills you with delight!

Khoun Nam is an amazing teacher! He explained a lot of things to us at the market about how to choose every item (and about Thaï food & ingredients) and described every step while cooking. Everything we cooked had an authentic taste!

We've joined the morning class with a visit to the local market. Nam really took his time to passionately explain all the ingredients and adapted to me as a vegetarian as well. The preparation of the dishes was smooth and very well organized, the team was amazing! I really enjoyed making Thai food from scratch and discovering more ingredients and spices. In the end, we received all the recipes in a little book to cook at home. Highly recommend!

Absolutely fabulous from start to finish. It packed half-a-day that was both interesting and entertaining, but most of all delicious! Nan was a fabulous guide around the market and teacher-chef and I was so pleased with how the dishes turned out, and will definitely be trying them at home. Abbiamo partecipato alla classe di cucina durante la mattina. La nostra insegnante è stata Nam, ed ha veramente reso l’esperienza perfetta. La prima parte si compone della spesa al mercato di quartiere, abbiamo adorato questa parte soprattutto l’entusiasmo di Nam nello spiegarci le cose. La secondo parte si svolge nella scuola, che è immersa nel quartiere e la sensazione è di essere a casa di un local. Abbiamo cucinato il Tom Yum, una zuppa pazzesca, il Pad Thai (non siamo più riusciti a mangiarne altri per quanto era buono!), il pollo al curry e mango e sticky rice. Tutto era buonissimo e Nam ci ha spiegato tutti gli ingredienti e le preparazioni nei più piccoli dettagli, facendoci entrare proprio all’interno delle ricette. This was the best cooking class I have ever done in my life! Starting from the market, Naan was very professional, funny, and polite. We made 4 dishes and all of them were explained to us in a great way. Also, the school is amazing. Everything is clean and already set up for us. I really suggest everyone take this cooking class!

We were in the cooking class with my family of 5 and a Korean family of 3. Naem made it a great experience! We went to the market to buy ingredients and learned a lot about what to choose and why. The dishes were nice to prepare and cook and the taste was great. I definitely recommend this cooking school! Naem speaks very good English and has a great sense of humor.

This class was one of the highlights during our Bangkok trip. Gong was a fun and informative instructor and always made sure that everyone in the group was doing okay. It was fun to make new friends from France and Korea. The market tour was so nice and we took a Tuk Tuk to the cooking class venue. This was really nice because we were interested in the Tuk Tuks in town but hadn't tried yet being afraid of being ripped off. The food we made was the best Thai cuisine we ever had, way better than the restaurants. I think it has to do with the fresh ingredients straight from the market and the traditional way of cooking. Nam was a fantastic instructor. She was engaging, knowledgeable and taught us about the ingredients and food we were eating and how they relate to broader Thai cuisine and culture. The day we spent at the Siamese Cookery House was simply great. The teacher was funny, charming as well as really good in Eglish and explaning her cooking skills. She answered every question with excitement and tought every cooking step with passion. Everything was well organised and prepared for us. No rush at all, nobody forced us to buy some extra products or anything. I highly recommend this cooking class for everyone!

My husband and I loved the whole experience, from shopping at the market, riding the tuk tuks and eating our own cooking creations. Nan was our teacher chef and she showed us how to buy quality ingredients at the market and prepare them for cooking. There was enough food for a meal. Loved that they had a different menu each day. Nan truly loves her job and cares for each of us. Very clean. Make sure to add this experience to your next stop in Bangkok.

Both the market tour and the cooking class were fantastic and educational for the fundamentals of Thai cooking. Chef Nam took her time explaining the layering of flavors that are integral to Thai cooking and showed us all that the local markets have to offer. She took the time to make sure we knew where we could stock up on ingredients and exactly what to look for. We were all blown away by the food and are eager to make more when we get home! Nam greeted our group at a central subway station and from the first moment made everyone comfortable and excited to be there. The market tour was wondrous, and Nam showed us the best way to choose ingredients, pointed out new and Interesting products, and kept the tour fun and efficient. We then went back to her house, where everything was perfectly organized and set up for us to learn, prepare and enjoy 4 traditional Thai dishes. Her engaging humor (spoken in excellent English) coupled with insightful tips and facts about Ingradients and dishes made the afternoon go quickly and most of us didn't want it to end. Each of the 4 dishes we prepared and ate were outstanding! We were almost too full to bother with dinner later that day. We would highly recommend this addition to any Bangkok itinerary.

This was the third cooking class I attended in Thailand and it was simply excellent. I had been afraid that I wouldn’t learn a lot of new things but the contrary was the case. It was also a lot of fun! We were picked up by Goong and Nam and went to the most amazing market. That alone made the class worthwhile. But on top of that Goong was full of knowledge about culture and cooking and her sparkling and funny nature made it a sheer joy to listen to her. The cooking instructions were easy to understand and backed up with loads of background knowledge. The quality of the food was fantastic. I can’t recommend this class enough! Thank you for a fantastic time! I’ll be back for sure.

Me and my girlfriend were in Bangkok and our Main Focus was the Food, since bangkoks streetfood is so renomated. And the best Food we ate we cooked ourselves thanks to Nam. A wonderful evening. Thank you.

Our family of 5 (including 3 kids ages 9 to 14) booked a group cooking class for the final day of our holiday and I can honestly say this was the highlight of our entire 3-week Thailand trip for everyone. Nam was warm, funny and a brilliant teacher. The market trip was a highlight and the pace and variety of the class worked perfectly for our varied group. We had originally wanted to book a private class as we didn’t want our kids to spoil anyone else’s experience but as this wasn’t available, we booked the group session. I’m so pleased we did - the other guests were lovely and interesting and just added to our experience. Each dish was delicious, we learned so much and even our very teenage 14-year old son was completely engaged from start to finish. He is now a convert to cooking and enthusiastically talking about what he is going to make for us when we get home. The house is beautiful and a real experience of authentic, residential Bangkok. All-in-all an experience of a lifetime: thank you so much Nam and all at Bangkok cookery house.

If you're looking for a truly immersive cultural experience with people who deeply care for their craft and their culture then you can stop searching now. Nam met our group of 5 at an easy to find location near a beautiful authentic market. We walked through the stalls picking up this and that ingredients, amazing things I never would have touched or smelled if it wasn't for her guidance. Next we went took a 5 minute Tuk Tuk ride with our fresh ingredients to their home which was laid out beautifully for our group with a prep area, a cooking area with many wok's and stoves and finally a stunning dining area. We cooked and chatted and ate for the next 3 hours. All departed with big smiles and full bellies. Highly recommended!!

I highly recommend taking cooking classes here. We met at Huai Khwang MRT station and walked to the market together. Nam explained how to get the best ingredients for Thai dishes. Then we drove to the cooking school in TukTuks. We made Tom Yum Goong, Pad Thai, Panaeng Curry and Mango Sticky Rice. Everything was well organised. Nam showed us step by step how to cook the dishes. She speaks English perfectly and is very humorous and talented. I recommend to not eat before taking this class as you will be eating all the dishes. But if you‘re full before, Nam can give you boxes to take the food home.

My team did a cooking class with Nam as our team-building event. We expected it to be a good learning class but boy, we did not expect it to be so much fun! Nam is so funny and cracked so much jokes that we were having so much fun while having to "toil away". We took the afternoon class and so weren't expecting a market tour so we were really surprised that she took us on a very informative market tour and send us back on Tuk-tuks. We learnt a lot and really enjoyed the food that we cooked, and most importantly, really enjoyed ourselves.

Our family had a private class and we all enjoyed it. Our teacher Goong was amazing, she was so kind and a great chef and the food she helped us prepare was SO delicious. Our 3 daughters, where the youngest is 10 years, also enjoyed it very much and thought this class was the best thing we did on our vacation. Goong was really patient and helpful and so nice to the children and all our daughters just loved her from the beginning. She speaks good English, so the communication was also easy. The surroundings was authentic Thai and the atmosphere warm and welcoming. We cannot thank you enough for this great experience.

From start to finish, this class was amazing. Our chef/instructor, Nam, took us to the market to pick out some of our ingredients and she was SO sweet and knowledgeable and was able to teach us so many interesting things about the local foods. After that, she helped us prepare 4 amazing dishes. I couldn’t recommend this class more for anyone who is interested in eating/cooking delicious authentic Thai cuisine.

The cook was VERY good at telling and explainings things. She was nice, competente and her english was good. The place was lovely and clean. There was a helper to provide things, so the participants could focus on the important about learning to cook thai food. I can highly recomment this place.

My daughters and I attended the cooking class ran by Naan and Kung- they were the perfect hosts really friendly and engaging with great sense of humour. We laughed a lot 😊😊 The shopping and cooking were really informative we were all shocked at how wonderful our dishes turned out to be. The house and all the cooking equipment was spotlessly clean and they both spoke good English which was a bonus. This was by far the best cooking experience we’ve ever had (and we’ve had a few)! The two chefs were extremely nice, funny and professional. It felt like spending a wonderful cooking day with friends. The food we prepared was over the moon, I had the best soup of all time. If you’re in any doubt, which of the hundreds courses to chose in Bangkok - chose them! Nam and Gung - thank you very much for this wonderful day we had together!

I'm so glad I took this class! Chef Jay is a patient teacher and I learned so much about Thai cuisine. He is also great company, which made every minute of the class enjoyable. As a bonus, he takes great pictures. This was honestly the most fun I had while in Bangkok.

The market tour before the cooking class was very informative with a ride to the house in a tuk tuk as a huge plus. As for the class itself, very fun 3 hours of learning (about ingredients), cooking and eating between each course. Highly recommend for anyone interested in authentic Thai cuisine or culinary in general.

Best cooking class in town!! The chef is amazing and the class is really a whole experience! You are able to learn about thai cuisine while also learning about Thai history and culture. I would definetely recommend this activity to anyone who wants to learn more about Thailand and its culinary background! The food was delicious, easy and fun to make while you chat with othef participants in a super relax and enjoyable environment! Dont thinks twice and book it! (They also had no problem accommodating for vegetarian menu in case you need it)

I don't know much about cooking but Teacher Jay made it so fun and easy. He started by introducing the local ingredients needed, which was interesting to discover. Then cooking was made easy since there's minimal set up required. The pad thai was so well balanced, it was the best pad thai I ever tasted! I was really happy with the class and the food.

I learned more about Thai food, Thai people and culture during this four hours than the last 6 months in Bangkok - thank you!

It was beyond our expectations, instead of a normal kitchen, you got to prepare food in a traditional way on the floor and the setting is beautiful (instagrammable). The chef is friendly and accommodating. We start from a morning market tour and learned different kinds of spice and Thai ingredients for the dishes. The whole class feel that the TomYum and PadThai we cooked is better than those we ate at the restaurant.

I had booked the Thai cooking class in the Siamese Cookery House for holy night day and it was one of the highlights of my time in Thailand. Going to the market together to buy all ingredients, learn a lot about each of them, cook, learn more, laugh a lot in all stations and eat the wonderful dishes together. What do you want more for Christmas? I was a happy little poppet.

We researched several cooking classes and found this one to be simple and easy to navigate and understand so we chose to book it. Reviews were also high so we had faith. Thankful that we did as we loved it! Kûng was our Chef and she was AWESOME to say the least. Not only was she extremely knowledgeable, she made it fun and was funny. She was also able to communicate in several languages. The way the class structure is set up was very ideal as well, where you cook one meal at a time, enjoy it, and then cook the next. Overall a 10/10 experience and would book it again.

Has a blast cooking with Jay. Not only did he teach us about the fundamentals Of Thai cooking but also told us about life in Thailand, which was very interesting. The food was beautiful and probably the best we’ve had in Thailand so far!

It was so amazing! The cooking teachers where so funny and animating and the food tasted just amazing. They gave us a lot of tipps and interesting informations about the different ingredients of the meals. Great cooking course and one of our highlights of visit to Thailand! The tour started with visit to the local market where we bought all the ingredients for our meal. The group was only 6 and we had a great laugh while cooking. The teacher is fantastic , very geniune and also with great sense of humour. Absolutely fabulous. It was the most incredible value, with multiple experiences cram packed into a memorable 4 hours; shopping in a real locals food market; tuk tuk ride; tasting, preparing, cooking and eating four sensational courses of typical Thai food. Simply wonderful. Could not recommend it more strongly.

We had a simply incredible experience in this cooking class. Being taken to the market, trying new foods, learning about the Thai foods we'd never come across before and experiencing the meat market (not for the faint hearted!) was already so amazing and that was before we'd even got to the school! Goong was so informative, witty and downright lovely. The cooking part was amazing - learning new methods and making the most incredible foods. I honestly can't recommend this experience, or Goong, enough! A must if you're in Bangkok!

Goong hosted our class and guided us around the market naming and explaining all the herbs, spices, fruits and fresh items with which we were unfamiliar. Then back at the course we were guided through a four course meal cooking each course separately and preparing all the fresh ingredients from the market. Our teacher (I forgot her name.. but she was the female teacher!) was so sweet and funny, very informative during the market tour and so generous, she made sure we got to try all the Thai snacks we had never tried and taught us a lot about each ingredient we bought. First cooking class for me and I have to say that I have been really positively impressed. First we went to the local market to buy the ingredients and then went to the cooking school location. A typical Thai house with nice interiors and really welcoming. The teacher was just great. We cooked four different dishes, all of them were delicious (each participant could adapt his own dish). I highly recommend to try this experience while in Bangkok

This was the best cooking class I’ve ever done in Asia (it was my fourth overall and second in Thailand). The market visit was great - we got to know all kinds of Thai ingredients and the instructor was super informative and made sure that everyone in the group was involved. Back at the cooking school, the class was coordinated flawlessly. As you go in between rooms to cook and eat, a team is organizing everything and cleaning up. It was definitely the most organized class I’ve ever seen. The teacher (I think her name was Goon was that’s probably spelled wrong!) was so friendly and funny.and the recipes and food were amazing, probably the best we’ve had of these Thai classics. Would highly recommend this class!

Me and my partner went on this cooking class without no expectation it turned out a great experience! We missed the market tour because of traffic but honestly the class itself was amazing! We learned so much about Thai food, ingredients. culture and curiosities. The group was really nice and friendly, the dishes were super tasty and not too complicated so you can replicate it at home. This is in the top 3 things you can do in Thailand! The market tour was so much fun, our english speaking teacher gave us a lot of interesting trivia about thai food and culture. We got a tuk tuk ride from the market to the school. Both teachers speak very good english and are just a delight to be around! The class was amazing, it was perfectly structured where you get to eat in between cooking, now that's how I want to cook. Who knew thai cooking was so simple?! I will definately host thai dinner parties at home now and with the cooking skilles I learned at the Siamese cookery I might even impress a thai mother in law ;) (inside joke)

Cooking class was done in English. Had no issues understanding the cook. Class starts off with a market tour/ingredients shopping. The guide give tips on how to pick the best ingredients. Class ended with a recipe book given to us. By doing so, it eliminates the need for us to take notes during the cooking session, so that out attention is 100% focused on the guide and food.

Jay made sure everyone was comfortable during the class, he wasnt rushing anyone and he really knew what he was doing. He explained the ingredients and dishes very well in a very entertaining yet educational way. I would surely recommend this to my friends and family members planning to understand more about thai food.

From the beginning the teacher created a great atmosphere and also the fact that 7 people came late kept him still relaxed. Everything was already prepared when we arrived and looked awesome. Even for me, and I really can’t cook, it was easy to follow the steps and create my own 4 meals and it was delicious :) he gave us a lot of input and I wished I would have written everything down cause he also knew a lot about the countries where we were from and which ingredients we can use there. It was a lot of fun and I met really nice people to spend the evening with!

This is my first time having the cooking class during vacation, and I have a good experience in this. We have a chance to walk in the local market, understand more on the people’s daily life in here. The chef told us what to do in every single step, which is easy to follow even you are not good at cooking. I would recommend joining the class if you wish to know Thailand differently!

This cooking class was fantastic. Jay was funny and very easy to talk to. We made 4 dishes and during each we were given loads of background into the dishes and the ingredients used. Time between cooking was filled with laughter, Jay makes it so easy to talk to everyone and really encourages everyone to mingle. He has tonnes of experience and it really shows. The cooking class with Siamese Cookery House was absolutely fantastic! We got a real authentic feel of Thailand as we went into the local market and had picked our ingredients. We learnt so much about what the locals eat as we walked through the market. Then the actual cooking class amazing. The dishes we made were delicious. I’m still shocked that I made such a tasty dish with my own hands. With the help of our teacher, the meals felt so simple to make. Our teacher was so easy going, insightful and funny. It was such a fun day; I’ll definitely do it again when I come back to Thailand!

The instructor generously shared her knowledge of ingredients, cooking process, stories about food, and tips for bringing cuisines back home. The learning process was concentrated by having staff take care of cleaning up, so we students would only need to do some basic prep and the actual cooking. Admittedly, the difficulty in making the dish appears to be procuring the right ingredients in the correct proportions, so the wok work was really quick and easy with the instructor's guidance, but I still felt a great sense of accomplishment in producing four dishes of food that were all amazingly delicious. I had never imagined that I could do that.

We formed a small group of just 6 students. We took an educational and exciting trip to the market where we visited a dozen stalls to purchase all the ingredients we would use. My daughter got to be "banker" and pay for the food. We returned via a fun tuk-tuk ride and prepared 3 dishes in a traditional Thai kitchen, and we ate in an air-conditioned dining room. Instruction was clear and teacher was very engaging. Highly recommended.

To be honest, I know how hard is it to be a such nice Experience. Lots of hard working! The cooking class is among the best cooking classes I had so far. The food was so good and the atmosphere was incredible comfortable and nice. As a Chinese , it is definitely matched our stomachs. The chef that taught us was very friendly, well spoken, and always happy to answer our questions. I had brought my 5 year old with me and J was very good and patient with him, answering his questions and letting him get involved too. We had an absolutely amazing time and would recommend and do it again ourselves!

This experience was great!!! More than I expected. The market tour is really authentic and local. I was born and raised in Thailand and this is what me and my grandma usually did in my formative year. Kung is hilarious and know how to break the ice and let the people in the group getting more participation. She taught us how to pick a perfect ingredients with a reasonable price. The cooking class itself is really like what local and Thai people do and you get your hands on every process of preparing and cooking. And we also get all the recipe at the end of our class. One more thing, I just mention when will hv class to make papaya salad i love to try, and they really demo how to make papaya salad in the class with exception. I had such a great time, and the teacher was amazing, I don’t remember him saying his name, but he is very animated and made the class fun. I was running late to the meeting point but they were very accommodating and I was able to meet the group at the market.

The market tour at the start was so informative! Then we were taken to a darling house in which we learned how to make four dishes. My teacher chef Goong, she was incredibly fun and helpful. I learned a lot about Thai cuisine and its ingredients. The class environment was also wonderful, and the food I made was delicious. Definitely will recommend others to try out the class in Bangkok during their trips.

Cooking class was real fun. First visiting the local morning market afterwards cooking together 4 yummy dishes. In the end it was really much to eat, so better come hungry;-)! Our cook guide was great and did a really good job ;-)!

The tour of the market gave me a real feel of how the locals eat and buy their food. Shanti was our instructor and he did an amazing job. We had plenty of time to enjoy the dishes we prepared. After the class, we were given a cook book with all the recipes we cooked in class.

Really friendly, very informative and helpful. The market tour was brilliant, it was good to get a feel for the local Thai ingredients and how they differ from those available in the uk. With help from the teacher we made some delicious, restaurant quality food. Can’t wait to try the recipes back home. Now I also feel more comfortable going to markets to buy fresh ingredients both abroad and at home.

I would highly recommend this class! The staff are very nice and knowledgeable. Upon arrival, we received a basket (to carry the ingredients) and a bottle of cold water. We went to a nearby market and got the real Thai experience. We learned how to pick fresh ingredients and how to say it in Thai. After going to the market we went back to the house where they teach you how to make the food. We learned about the ingredients and learned how to prepare the food. The food was amazing 10/10. At the end of the class they give a booklet with recipes of the food we made in class.

So much fun learning about thai ingredients and how they contribute to those signature delicious thai flavors! I recommend anyone who visits Bangkok and likes to eat, to take this class! Just a small piece of advice (as I know I would tell my parents this) some things are done on the floor, so if you have problems getting up and down, I'd suggest just letting them know. I'm beyond positive they will accommodate you, but just a heads up :) Such wonderful, knowledgeable, funny people!

Ein unvergessliches Erlebnis mit super nettem Lehrer. Wir wurden sehr herzlich an der Metrostation abgeholt. Dann ging es zu einem Markt in einer Seitenstraße. Das war sehr authentisch und hochinteressant! Unser Lehrer erklärte uns alle Lebensmittel, die wir eingekauft haben. Wir erfuhren die Namen, wie wir die Frische erkennen können, wo die Lebensmittel herkommen usw. Nach dem Einkauf fuhren wie per TukTuk in das wunderschöne, historische Haus. Hier war alles sehr liebevoll eingerichtet. Unsere Gruppe bestand nur aus vier Personen (Vormittagsgruppe). Das Zubereiten der Speisen und das Kochen selbst wurden sehr gut erklärt. Wir können den Kurs nur weiterempfehlen und aus unserer Sicht ist es Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis absolut top!

This was my first Thai Cooking Class... and what fun we had. Started out with a market tour which was very informative on which ingredients to buy and what were some of the different vegetables that I had not seen before. Then it was off to cook... Chef was informative and fun. Mixing proper lesson with history of Thai food and cooking. Would def come back again with visitors.

I booked this class the night before for me and my four friends. I really wasn’t expecting much because of the low price. All the other classes I was looking at was super expensive and this was probably one of the cheaper classes. However, to my pleasant surprise this was probably one of the best parts of my trip in Bangkok. First off I have nothing but great things to say about our chef, Kung. She made a difference in our entire experience. Kung was so much fun and interactive with the group. She had a great sense of humor and was able to communicate really well. Second, everything was so organized. All our cooking utensils, spices and ingredients was neatly placed and waiting for us. The dishes we used were always washed and re-set up like magic after cooking each dish. Third, as someone who loves taking pictures and the aesthetics of everything, this place did an amazing job. The cooking/eating areas were both so cute, with flowers, art, and decorative pillows for us to sit. Lastly, the food was the most delicious Thai food I’ve eaten, even better than going to a restaurant. This experience was so worth it, and I recommend everyone to take this class, bonus points of your chef is Kung!

I cooked with Chef Nont! He was an absolute pleasure to work with. You can tell he knows the ingredients well, but he’s also personable. The cooking school is clean, and beautifully decorated and the ingredients used are so fresh and fragrant. I had the best tasting mango ever. Chef Nont walks you through the process of creating the chosen dishes, and it’s all hands on and communal - we took turns pounding the green curry paste. You really get to know behind the scenes of your favorite or maybe new favorite Thai dishes. And everything came out tasting DELICIOUS!! My friend and I had a blast learning to cook 4 different Thai dishes including curry and pad Thai. It felt like we got to learn more about the culture of Thailand in addition to some important cooking skills! Our instructor was friendly and funny, spoke great English and Chinese, and made sure everyone felt included. The class size was also ideal, we all got personal attention without feeling someone breathing down our neck. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Bangkok and wish I could do it again.

This was truly enjoyable. Our hostess/chef was so enthusiastic and gave us a thorough tour of shopping for ingredients and the cooking process. We had four dishes to prepare and were completely satisfied by the 3rd and 4th, but we got to take home the "extras" which we enjoyed later on.

This was our first time taking a cooking class and cooking Thai food. We called ahead and told Nammy we were running a little late and we expected for our experience to be crammed, but Nammy adjusted the class to still make sure we had a complete experience! The best part about the class was how familiar and funny she was! We left feeling like Thai chefs and also like we had met a long lost friend. Best class ever!

During the morning market tour, he explained to us the type of ingredients we need and how to pick the best ingredients. We were picked up at the MRT station on time and were provided tuk tuk to the class from the market. I'd highly recommend this class to anyone interested to learn to cook Thai food.

I had read good reviews of this class so I thought it would be good, but it totally exceeded my expectations! Our chef was Non and he was THE BEST! He spoke incredible English and taught me so much about Thai culture, language, and of course cooking! We started with going to the market and I learned a ton. He actively engaged us in the process of buying the food we were going to cook. We then went to the cooking house by tuk tuk. We made everything from scratch (including the coconut milk, curry paste, tamarind paste, etc.). We cooked four incredible dishes. It is was some of the best Thai food I’ve ever eaten, and I’ve eaten a lot! The process of learning about the dish and ingredients, prepping it, and cooking it was seamless and fun. We would make one dish at a time and then eat it. I can’t say enough good things! I’ve done cooking classes in six countries and none compared. This was the best class and the best value! We were given a recipe book to take home and I cannot wait to try these recipes on my own!! You will not regret taking this class!

We loved our trip around the market, buying the ingredients needed for our class. Then we took a tuk tuk back to the school for a wonderful (air conditioned) class with a lovely, funny and knowledgeable chef who not only taught us the recipes, but the history behind them. The food we made was fantastic, and we didn't need to eat for the rest of the day. Highly enjoyable experience that we're still talking about. Fantastic value too!

Goong is an absolutely amazing instructor. She is highly knowledgeable, funny, and personable. She makes you feel super comfortable from the start. You are involved in every part of the preparing and cooking. You learn a lot about Thai foods, cooking, and culture. Also, you get to make 4 different dishes! Come with an empty stomach! I had the chance to learn Thai cuisine, Thai culture and experience interacting with Thai natives. For me the best souvenir is being able to bond with people from different culture while learning at the same time. Each person from the group, was warm and friendly. The instructors were very good in English which also made it understandable for everyone. At the end of the day, i also had something to bring home to family which was my experience and my very own Thai dish.

My mum and I had an enjoyable time learning how to cook the 4 Thai dishes. The instructor was knowlegeable and funny, making the class light hearted and educational. The class size was just right with a good mix of students. The cooking school was also generally conducive except for the mosquitoes which gave a few 'souvenirs' to bring back. The pace of the class was also good. We particularly enjoyed the process of buying our own cooking ingredients and preparing our of ingredients before cooking them.

The entire class was a awesome experience! The market tour, the ride in tuk tuk, the school! The organization and decoration is absolutely perfect :) they really pay attention to details and the class itself is very enjoyable. Chef Nam is a very knowledgable, patient and wonderful person! Nahm (not sure of spelling sorry!) Was really great. She was very knowledgeable about Thai cusine And cooking in general. She had answers to all of the random questions my husband and I had. My wife and I spent our last afternoon in Bangkok at this cooking school. The experience was fun, entertaining, informative, and a great value for the money. The visit to the market was a great start to the afternoon. We were sent from the market to the school location via tuk tuk by our host - our only experience riding in a tuk tuk - what a trip! The information, education and hands on instruction were presented at a pleasant pace, allowing time for interaction and enjoying our food after each course was prepared. At the end, we were pleasantly full after enjoying a four course meal. Our companions in the experience were (four of us total) delightful and added to the experience. While we may not be able to duplicate these recipes exactly back in the USA we will try to do so, and remember the grand experience we had in Bangkok. The Siamese Cookery is highly recommended.

This class had all I ever wished for. Really cosy place. Warm and funny teachers. But foremost, I learned so much about ingrediens and how to cook amazing Thai food!

The 2 cooks were the best of the whole experience. The market tour is simply perfect. We were looking for a market like that one in the whole trip without success. The class was awesome. The place is really cozy and Kung (the teacher) is lovely and a wonderful cook. We enjoyed a lot.

Goong and Nam met us and the 6 other cooking students with empty baskets for our purchases and a bottle of water, for it´s already 90 degrees at 9:05 and sweat is beading in my eyes as we head off to the market. Goong (which means shrimp) was our instructor whom was so excited to show us the 3 basils, the lemon thyme which she breaks in half and twists for the aroma, fermented eggs, how to use chicken feet to improve our skin tone, how to choose the best shrimp by looking for the natural curl and leaving the older straighter and thus older shrimps for the next person. Her knowledge of vegetables, 20 types of rice growing throughout Thailand, and spices is shared with absolute joy. Siamese Cookery House is an organized school and 3 tuktuks are waiting after our shopping spree to take us back to the school. In the school house, we sit on Thai pillows and smell, taste, and prepare the kaffir Iime leaves by folding the double leaf in half like a butterfly and discarding the stem, the galangal garlic is sliced thin, and the coriander roots smashed. There are 8 separate burners, so while Goong talks us through each step, she also cajoles each of us into thinking our Tom Yum Goong soup is the best. It’s simply fabulous. She is a remarkable teacher able to laugh and tease while teaching us to prepare four Thai dishes. After the Tom Yum Goong soup, we each make our own Pad Thai, followed by red Massaman Curry Paste, Sticky rice with mango and sweet coconut sauce. We are stuffed by 1pm and are rolling out of her cool school, back into the hot humid air.

We had a wonderful time with Nam at the Siamese Cookery school. She met us with a refreshing bottle of water as we headed out for shopping at the local market. Nam was great at explaining the various types of produce and meats/seafood available. She explained how some products were prepared, how to choose the freshest ingredients and showed us so many exotics fruits and vegetables. What a great experience. We then headed by tuk tuk to the school for preparing and cooking our 4-course meal. She made the whole process seem so easy. It was so much fun preparing the ingredients and then cooking and eating the wonderful results. The final product was some of the best Thai food I have ever had! The Tom Yum Gai was delicious, the Pad Thai fantastic, the massaman chicken delectable, and the Sticky Rice with mango yummy. I would highly recommend this whole cooking experience. It was a wonderful place with great people!

I personally think that the staff and teachers can either make or break the class. I was very impressed how fun they were to work with. Great people, great food, and great market tour.

Instructor was very knowledgeable and made class so fun. I also love the local market tour. Thailand has so many exotic ingredients which I want to take home.

Our cook and guide, was very knowledgeable about the various ingredients used, and she spoke really good English. She was chatty and that made the entire class a breeze. Food wise, it was delicious and I couldn't believe I made that! Overall I highly recommend the class, it gives you an insight into Thai culture and cuisine.

I had so much fun learning to cook Thai food at Siamese Cookery House. The Chefs here are nice and very knowledgeable. My Chef I believe was the owner. She speaks English very well which made it very easy to listen and learn. She teaches more than just cooking. She explains the "why's" of cooking which I found important. She will tell you why the ingredients goes well and why we use it. Overall a great experience and highly recommended. I can't wait to attempt to cook back home what I learned.

We had a very good time at the market and the Siamese Cookery. We had the chance to hand select the ingredients for our dishes and got a lot of insider knowledge from Nam on top. The cooking was also great, we made everything from scratch and everyone had his own workspace to create his/her dishes. I would definitely recommend to do your cooking course here, the incredible welcoming and experienced staff made the cooking course one of a kind!

Good teacher, Good food, Good place, so fun!!

The class was good, and the teachers were kind and pleasant. It was an interesting experience to touch and buy materials directly in the market. The classes were organized, and I was full and happy to continue eating in the middle. If I went to Bangkok, I wanted to take part in it again.

I had a wonderful time walking through the market and learning about how to choose fresh ingredients for recipes I have never tried cooking before. I feel as though I can recreate these recipes because they were fairly easy to make and I now have a cookbook to follow on my own!

It is located in a local market, which means that it is not that dangerous area at night! The staff are so friendly and the teacher is just so nice! The food were nice too. The only one thing that you need to have empty stomach!

Hello I am a Korean who was celebrating Thanksgiving. My first visit to Bangkok I like Bangkok food. We could say these cooking classes are all the same. Well they are not. This one is not central, it is not using all the fashionable deco outlets because it focuses on the most important things: quality in every aspects! - we are going to a market that is just so well-stocked, we can discover all secret ingredients of the delicious food we taste in restaurants - we cooked the old way on the floor with beautiful pots of spices around us, using natural fiber accessories - our lovely coach Nam was not only a friendly and smiling teacher, she also gave us lots of historic background of the ingredients we used, adding to our cooking lesson a very rich tour in history - last but not least everything was so tasty! Nam didn’t spare any opportunity to bring flavors into our plates Well I think You get it: i enjoyed my cooking class A LOT ;)

This class was the highlight of our trip to Bangkok! The instructors were so friendly and funny and spoke English very well. They guided us through the market and explained all the food items that we needed and told us how to pick out the best ones. We then took a fun Tuk Tuk to the cooking school which was very clean and cute. They were excellent instructors and making the food was easy and so fun! Not to mention so delicious and fresh. This is absolutely worth your money and I would come back again in a heartbeat! We absolutely loved taking this class.

Wir haben einen großartigen Vormittag mit Naam verbracht. Sie beantwortete alle unsere Fragen in perfektem Englisch, war super sympathisch und offen. Auch während des Essens sprachen wir nicht nur über das Kochen sondern auch über alles mögliche andere, was wir über Thailand wissen wollten. Das Essen mit den gerade frisch vom Markt gekauften Zutaten schmeckte super und die Zubereitung war auch für jemanden mit zwei linken Händen simpel. Ich würde jederzeit wieder hingehen. Als Verbesserungsvorschlag kann ich nur geben, vielleicht noch weitere Kursauswahlmöglichkeiten (weitere Gerichte) zu geben, und auch die Currypaste von den Teilnehmern machen zu lassen (Naamhat sie vor uns zubereitet). We had so much fun! First we went to the local market where we get some explanations about vegetables and herbs... after we took a tuk-tuk to the cooking class and learned how to make 4 delicious dishes who we eat after we cook them. The teacher is a very funny lady who loves to cook and teach you! After the class was done we had a nice conversation and a recipe book with the recipes we learned but also some others. It was a very enjoyable experience. Even for my friend who is terrible at cooking, she had a really good time too. The instructor is very experienced and professional. The food we made was delicious. I would recommend this cooking class to anyone who loves thai food.

Unfortunately, we were late to the class and missed the market tour. However, when we got there we realized we were the only students of the morning and had an amazing one on one time with our instructor! Non guided us through the different ingredients we were using, helped us chop and measure them, and was super entertaining and funny all the way! Needless to say, the food was delicious as well. The lesson ended with a little recipe book of the meals we had made so it’s going to be super easy to make them again at home

Met up at the Huai Kwang MRT station exit 1 outside. The class began with a local market tour. The instructor explained the uses and varieties of ingredients. Took a tuktuk to the cookery. Learned a couple of techniques to prepare the ingredients and to cook the dishes. The instructor was very friendly as she recommended a couple of places to visit. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience.

I’m happy to meet Siamese Cookery, they are very friendly and professional. I made Tom yum going, Pad thai, Green curry and Mango sticky rice. During the class, the instructor “Goong” gave good information about Thai food like the sauces, ingredients and cooking ware. So I got a little understanding about Thai culture. I’d like to participate in a class again when visiting Bangkok.

Naam and her staff were just amazing! I loved the fact that the class was very small and intimate which is a stark contrast to regular cooking classes for tourists thereby allowing one on one time learning Naam's amazing cooking techniques. I had an amazing morning at the market and then at the cooking house with Goong and the rest of the staff! The class was so much fun! It was our group of 4 friends so very intimate. We got a lot of personalized attention. The food we learned to cook was really delicious and quite a good value for money. Our instructor was fun and a good teacher. I would definitely recommend this school. The only downside is the house is not air conditioned so it was a very hot evening. Note: we did this class on Sunday night so there was no market tour. But it was a very leisurely paced dinner.

The class was not touristy at all. I liked that the most. We did almost everything to cook. One of my friends didn’t like to try Thai food, so Teacher Nam advised that we could use other ingredients just in case of not getting the Thai ones. For example, use vinegar instead of tamarind. She was hilarious and helpful. We enjoyed a lot. Thank you!

The entire family attended the class mum. dad, 2 kids and housekeeper. The Market tour was very informative we learnt how to tell good prawns from bad .. how to choose ripe mangos and a lot about fresh herbs. The cooking class was great - Our teacher was friendly and cheerful and took her time explaining especially for the benefit of the 2 young children. We prepared and cooked 4 delicious dishes - so yummy. Honestly, a day well spent.

One of the best experiences in Thailand! I had wonderful and tasty afternoon in this cooking school. Now I know how to choose the best ingredients and how to make delicious Thai food. It was just excellent.

This is a great class for anyone! Really fun afternoon, getting to cook 4 dishes that were so tasty. The meeting point is easy to get too, and everything is within walking distance of there so you don’t waste any time on public transport etc. The house was air conditioned with a cool cooking area outside. All facilities were new and clean! (Bathroom, etc). Filtered drinking water was provided also.

Our teacher, Nam, was friendly, funny and knowledgeable. The market tour was just the right length of time and we learnt a lot. The cooking lesson was held in a nice, relaxed environment and we learned some useful techniques and principles. The food was 'aroy'(delicious!). I highly recommend this class. I would recommend getting a Grab taxi there if there are 2+ of you, as this was cheaper than getting the train + a shorter taxi ride.

This was by far one of my favourite experiences and memories while in Thailand! The market tour at the beginning of the class was extremely fun, interesting and informative. I wish I had done the cooking class earlier in my trip so that I could have all of their tips and tricks for picking food and could have gone to the market more on my own! The cooking class itself was beyond fun, and delicious! The best food I had in all of Thailand in fact! And the staff were so sweet and funny, I really didn’t want to leave! I don’t normally leave reviews. But having the cooking class with these guys made our trip to Bangkok unforgettable. We had quite a small group of 4 but it allowed us to have conversation with each other The tour around the market was great, they knew what they were doing at allowed us to have samples of the food. The cooking was really fun and very simple, so everyone was able to make delicious food, and the dishes we made were very different to one another. Definitely worth the money and they were even kind enough to order us taxi back to our hotel.

A brilliant cooking class! It's very reasonably priced, superb instructor (speaks fluently in 6 different languages, including english) with a funny and very pleasant demeanour, great cooking courses (4 of them including dessert). A short tour of the market where we learn how to buy and what to buy, a Tuk Tuk ride and of course, the booking and prep. Met us on time at the meeting place which was easy to find. Ten out of ten! :)

This is a great way to spend time in Bangkok especially if you want an introduction to Thai food. All the dishes we cooked were delicious, and the class was hands-on, so you get the chance to prepare everything yourself. The market tour was an interesting experience. Goong explained the common ingredients used in Thai cuisine as we did our shopping. The whole process was smooth and enjoyable. Most importantly, Goong and Nam's enthusiasm and passion for cooking were highly infectious and they were super friendly and patient. We're not experts at cooking but the food turned out really delicious!

It was great. I traveled to Bangkok with my parents and it was best part of our schedule. We all enjoyed soooo much. My parents became Thai food lovers after this class and missed the teachers so much even my parents don’t speak English. Goong and Nam(?! Since the moment we met the women, they were warm and interesting. They answered every question and were so engaging. They made the whole experience, fun and even when we were taking a while enjoying our time, they didnt rush us. The food turned out so good and their love of cooking Thai foos is contagious. Nam is really a good teacher!! It is not a commercial cooking class. She is patient enough to teach people with different nationality. There is translator for Mandarin speaking in the class. She brought us to market and taught me how to buy good and fresh food for cooking Thai-food. The method she taught is easy to follow and most important, I can follow her recipe to cook at home!! You definitely become a great cook for Thai-food if you follow Nam's recipe. Really thanks to her and her super team for such memorable Thai-food cooking experience ! Highly Recommended!!

I can only recommend this cooking class. It’s totally worth the money and the hosts are really cool.

The small class sizes work well to give it a nice personal touch. Cooking in a Thai house gave it the truly authentic feel which could not be achieved elsewhere. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and great at explains things. They were very knowledgeable about the dishes we cooked, theor origins, and how different provinces may tailor the dishes to suit. All round great fun and great food -would definitely recommend!

We had a fantastic time at this cooking class! We enjoyed the market tour and were shown some things we had never seen before. The members of staff were all friendly and had a great sense of humour and we laughed our wag through the afternoon. The food we made was delicious and really easy to cook. We learned new things and thoroughly enjoyed it!

We’ve had the best family moment we could have doing that course. Non and all the team were amazing! We loved the first part at the market, where we could get a lot of explanations! And then we made great food! The house is beautiful and stylish! It’s so easy to cook and to discover Thai food in those conditions! We hardly recommend that cooking class!

Really awesome class! The teacher was so fun and nice. During the market tour, he really took the time to explain how to pick out the best ingredients for the dishes from the market and what characteristics to look for most ripe/tasty ones of the bunch (very helpful for when I go hope and try to pick out the ingredients in the USA). The food was absolutely amazing, conversation was great, teaching was very thorough, and 10/10 would recommend this class!!!

We had a few issues getting to the meeting point and the hosts were amazing, and came and found us so we could complete the cooking course. The chef was great fun, a good laugh and showed us some skills of how to make traditional Thai food that we never knew! I’d highly recommend this course to anyone, especially those who love Thai food and cooking!

很好的體驗！CHEF NON講解有趣易明.....而且我們的參與度也很高....每一個步驟都不難掌握....同行還有一個德國學生....3個人一起上堂....好似變左PRIVATE CLASS咁.....另外....謝謝CINDERALLA幫我們收拾東西.....下次來曼谷我們還會繼續來上課呢:)

Overall, it was an awesome experience! There’s no regret and signing up for this cooking class is the best thing that happened for this trip! Visiting the local wet market was an eye opening experience and cooking thai food the traditional style was a plus! Non (teacher chef) was humourous and interesting. There was never a dull moment in class. I would deifnitely introduce this class to my friends!

This cooking class has the professionalism and clean presentation of a top notch course, with the added warmth of feeling like you're at home or hanging out with old friends. Nam, Kung, and the rest of the gang, were incredible hosts and instructors; and we ended up spending as much time laughing as we did cooking. They made the entire cooking process a breeze (you do not need to be skilled AT ALL in the kitchen, but you won't be bored if you are - trust me), and it was so quick and delicious to whip up an absolute treat. I would and already have recommended this absolute gem of an experience to anyone who'll listen :) Cannot praise them enough - thank you for the wonderful time and memories~

Non war ein super freundlicher Koch und die beiden Damen eine große Unterstützung. Obwohl wir wegen des Verkehrs 30 min zu spät waren, konnten wir noch, außer den Marktbummel, am ganzen Kurs teilnehmen. Sehr angenehme Atmosphäre beim Kochen und Zeit für sich beim essen. Perfekt und würde ich wieder machen.

Classroom is very fulfilling, thank you tutor is very hard to teach The tutor is very interesting and talks like a friend. The family is very happy.
