Samui Good Herb Thai Cooking Class

Great fun! Really accessible. June was wonderful! Definitely going to try to repeat this at home because it was so tasty and so easy!

The Class was very good, we learned so much about the thai food and herbs. It was a really good experiences in a small group.

We went to Thai cooking class and was truly amazing experience. We first went on a tour of the local food market which was very interesting and then back to making 3 dishes of our choice in the setting of an herb garden. Was exactly what we hoped for. Guide was very knowledgeable and welcoming and would definitely recommend to others seeking authentic Thai cooking class.

We had such a great time on this cooking class. The food was incredible, and the hosts were very helpful. Would 10/10 recommend and do again.

Loved the use of herbs from the garden and Jul’s knowledge that she imparted to our group (of 6). The flavours were amazing. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience and will definitely be off to the Asian supermarket on our return.

Our decision for this class was because we could choose 3 dishes individually and Jul did a great job teaching us all at the same time with the different courses My hubby and I made 6 different meals and it was way too much to eat at once so we could have some left overs as take away and enjoyed it later Jul did the class with passion for food, for cooking and for her country (explaining Thai-style) and was easy to follow as her english was very good. All up we both enjoyed this Event a lot. Thank you and all the best for her! ❤️

It was not like a tourism cooking class. We were at her garden, she explained lots of herbs and ingredients. It was very personally and a great atmosphere. Well recommended

Jul is a fantastic teacher, somehow pulling off instructing 5 different people at once on different recipes. A fantastic window into authentic Thai cooking. There are written instructions but i recommend just listening to her and reading them when you get home. Unpretentious and spot on.

Jul is a great teacher and very interested in sharing Thai cooking culture with her guests. She first explained commonly used herbs and spices in Thai cuisine before we went on to cook our dishes. Everybody was able to choose their own selection of dishes. The atmosphere while cooking next to her garden was very relaxing and we had a great time. Definitely recommend doing!

It was our first cooking class and we are so exited. It’s total worth the money, everybody could chose three kind of dishes. Jul is so nice and explained a lot. We definitely could recommend cooking classes here

We had an absolutely amazing time cooking with Jul! She was so kind and was an awesome teacher/cook! We LOVED everything we made and left incredibly full of delicious food and wonderful memories. We also really liked that she sent the recipes to us after the class so that we can make the food at home.

Very dedicated and friendly teacher who shows and explains every component of Thai food. The market tour is very interesting and useful. Also the organic garden tour to see how the fruit, herbs and spices grow, how to pick them for cooking, what other importance they have and so on. The cooking process itself is lot of fun and the right balance of flaivours is the most important skill to learn. I totally suggest to experience it yourself!

My wife and I had a great time during this cooking class. We had really great one on one attention, all of our questions were answered, and we got to learn about Thai herbs and plants. All in all a great day.

Overall Recommending the experience, the only thing all cooking happened very quickly and I would appreciate slower paste of the class. chef explained everything quickly and allowed for photos but there was so much information to gather that I couldn’t remember anytime next day. ... good thing we have recipes and lots of videos. Overall recommending it.

Joy has a beautiful Herb Garden with a very big variety of local herbs. Her assistant is warm and friendly, and luckily I was the only one who registered to this class so I enjoyed a private one. After picking me up from the hotel, arriving to her place We cooked three dishes that were chosen by me before the lesson, and I got detailed explanations about everything. I ate very generous quantity of food, and Joy showed me her lovely garden.

Could not belive how easy it was to make my 3 favourite Thai dishes, I will be making my way to the nearest Asian supermarket as soon as I get back home. Jul and her assistant explained the different herbs and vegtables used in Thai cooking, and her garden is so inspiring. I will definently book again the next time I am in Thailand as there are so many dishes to choose from.

Jul was a great teacher. Learned a lot about ingredients and food prep. Looking forward to taking home what we learned. 10/10

It was simply amazing!

A lovely setting and a small class. We learnt a lot and Jul made it really interesting. We loved looking around her garden seeing everything grow naturally.

We had an amazing experience. I took my family for a quick trip here in Thailand. We arrived early and had some free time. Jul prepared a brilliant set up for us. Upon arrival she lead us to the backyard where her organic herb garden was located as well as her kitchen. Jul and her co-chef were very friendly and knowledgeable and my mother was really fond of her. The whole family enjoyed our time at Thai Organic Cooking course so much, we are all still excitedly talking about the good taste of the food we made and can not believe how good all the dishes looked as well.The class would be great for anyone who wants to cook delicious Thai food even if you have never tried before. Definitely a moment to remember.

Jul and her co-chef ran an informative and fun lesson which catered perfectly to both my husband and I and our children aged 6 and 8. The garden is lovely and all the herbs came from there. The food we produced was truly delicious and the cooking tips really helpful for the future. Afterwards she sent us loads of lovely photos and a great recipe book. Highly recommended, especially to those with children. Thank you Jul.

The class was great. We had cooked thai food before but were struggling with getting some of the textures and complex flavours right. The class was great to get the techniques right and help get the right balance of flavour. The information on the different herbs and their usage was really interesting as well The class would be great for anyone who wants to cook delicious thai food even if you have never tries before. Jul has a brilliant cooking experience setup. On our arrival she was busy in her restaurant up front and she lead us to the backyard into her organic herb garden where her teaching kitchen and other dinning area are. Jul and her other chef who took our session were very friendly, knowledgable and related brilliantly to our teenage children. Jul started off by explaining all the ingredients that we were going to be cooking with to us. Where possible we handled and had a smell of the ingredients. The whole family enjoyed our time at Thai Organic Cooking course so much, we are all still excitedly talking about the good taste of the food we made and can not believe how good all the dishes looked as well. A very big thank you to Jul and her team. This has been one of our highlights in Koh Samui.

We would encourage you to do a cooking course here. The class was very informative, lots of fun and delicious. The chefs gave us great tips to inspire us to try at home. Well worth the time and we would thoroughly recommend it.

This class was so educational and fun! The staff here are extremely nice and knowledgeable and provide round trip pick up and drop off from your hotel. I would recommend this to anyone who visits Koh Samui! The best!!

The cooking class was very informative and a lot of fun. The venue was clean and the cooking instructor was very knowledgeable and made the whole experience an absolute delight.

Me and my friend wanted to try something different while in koh samui and found this class online. We made 3 dishes each (which we had selected ourselves) and even got to take them away as were too full to finish them at the class. The teaching chefs were great, kind and very helpful. I would definitely recommend this class to others. On our return to our hotel we were emailed numerous photos of our day so we have memories and more importantly people will believe that we cooked the beautiful dishes we made. Thank you so much for a great day and a great feed!
