Cookistan Turkish Cooking Classes

Hazel prepared a great class for us. She was engaging and informative. The tour started on foot where we visited the local shops and got to understand the personalities of the Greek neighborhood. Then we went started cooking. Everything was delicious and easy to make! We enjoyed dessert and a nice conversation after. I highly recommend a cooking class with Hazal!

It was wonderful to spend a few hours with our local tour guides and with curious travelers from around the world!

The class was so much fun. I learned so much about Istanbul and its food. It was simply a great way to spend our last evening in Istanbul. Our teachers were warm and interesting and we felt so welcome. To be recommended!!!

Taking a cooking class really gives you a better view of the country's culture and people and the hosts were extraordinary. They were very patient and kind and we never ran out of things to talk about. It felt much more like a dinner party than a class with a beautiful house, lovely jazz in the background and terrific wine. The food was fantastic and not difficult to make, but was just different enough that I would never have made this at home without the tutoring at the class. Please be aware - you will not be able to finish the food and make sure you have a refrigerator available to you so that you can eat leftovers for the next two days. All the food kept quite well and didn't really even need to be heated. Cannot recommend this class enough!

My partner and I had the most wonderful day! We had so much fun making all the recipes in their beautiful home, and learnt so much about the Turkish culture as well. The food was amazing and we can't wait to make the food at home! Özge, Hazal and Katia were amazing hosts and felt like family. Thank you ladies so much! It was the highlight of Istanbul for us 🙂 definitely would recommend!

We came 4 persons to learn the Turkish luzon.we met Aisha and had a wonderful walk in the neighborhood.we met the otentic places were the citizen by their food.and then we came to the most pleasant place to cook.grat feelen clean an decorate super.we had a professional class and we were so happy

Ayeli was such a wonderful host and teacher. The atmosphere was warm and the way that the class was timed was perfect. Plus! All of the food was delicious and I learned a lot. This is a must-do when you visit Istanbul.

We had an unforgettable session with Cookistan, Istanbul. They were ever so friendly and took us for a nice stroll to teach us about your typical Turkish food before teaching us how to cook it! 5 out of 5 stars for a great time in learning how to make traditional-home Turkish food!

If you are considering doing this class, don't waste any time deciding, just do it. You won't regret it. We had a wonderful day leaning about various aspects of Turkish ingredients and traditional cuisine, whilst making new friends and enjoying beautiful food. Our tutor and hosts were beautifully welcoming and professional and made the day an absolute delight. The venue was very well set up and easy to get to.

We cannot express how amazing this evening was! My daughter and I went together and I am not an avid cook like she is but the way the evening was presented made me feel passionate about cooking even if it was only for one night! Everything from the space to the interesting conversation was wonderful and not to mention the fresh and gorgeous ingredients and the way we were taught to make Turkish cuisine seem effortless, fun and mouth wateringly delicious! We would definitely recomend it and we will be there again!

This cooking class was one of the highlights of my trip to Istanbul. Aishan took us on a wonderful tour of the Pangalti neighborhood and then guided us in making an extraordinary six-course traditional Turkish meal. The ambiance was incredible, and her and her sister were extremely hospitable. If you visit Istanbul, this class is a must!

Once you Enter Aysin home you will feel the warmth and coziness of it. You wont feel that you are a stranger, you would feel that you are in your own home and with the two lovely sisters, as being your own sisters, We had a great time, cooking was fun and yummy, Aysin made cooking so easy. I love the full experience and would do it again and again,, I recommend all to go for it, I would like to thank the two nice sisters for hosting us,, and because of you both I loved Istanbul more.

Great fun and very educational. Recipes were easy and only use ingredients I can find at home. Small group.

Beginning with an enriching short walking tour through the streets of Istanbul. Entering shops, factories and kitchens, tasting and learning about the Othman cuisine. Then a warm hospitality and a Turkish breakfast at a beautifully decorated modern apartment, where the cooking class takes place. Unlike other classes I participated – in this class you really learn and do everything from scratch and eat your own cooking! The instructors were amazingly friendly and professional and I sure recommend this class as well as certain I’ll come back again for some more recipes and tastes!!!
