The day starts from a cup of tea. We take time for short meditations and practices which help us connect to ourselves and each other in a safe and grounded way. Feeling reborn and loved up, it’s time to connect to Earth. We venture into our forest gardens to forage and get a feel for what’s in season.
We have hundreds of useful plants and trees growing in our 2 hectares of rain forest gardens which are the inspiration for our cuisine!
Next, head back to the kitchen to prepare an absolute food forest feast with all the amazing flavours from Mother Nature. Every week we cook something different. All classes are predominantly plant-based and vegan, at times we use some local free range eggs.
We then share lunch around the table. You may return home after the class, or choose to visit the local hot springs, allowing the magnesium-rich volcanic waters to soothe your skin.
Menu inspired by the garden
As Chef Made likes to say, here we play with Mother Earth, connecting with the land and cooking with the heart using the ingredients that She gives to us each day. That means that we don't have a set menu although you can expect Modern Balinese Cousine inspired by the garden with some delicious dishes like Jukut Ares, Gado-Gado, Lawar, Urab, Coconut Satay, Nasi Kuning, Balado, Jamu, Sambal and more.
